The Feeding Experiment And Analysis Of Population Structure Of Farmed Black Bear

The farming of black bear in China stated at 1980s, which mainly located at mountainous area such as Jilin, Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Sichuan and Yun nan province. The temporary regulation of the management of black bear farming and utilizing technology was issued in 1997, which regulated the farming of black bear and enhanced the monitoring and management of black bear farm. This experiment studied the nutrition and feed formula of black bear by testing the fodder of black bear in Fujian Guizhentang Biology Development Company.The feeding experiment of black bear lasted 24 months, initial average weight of the black bears was 21kg, and the crude protein levels of dietary were 15.97%,17.94% and 20.06%, respectively. The results show, the feed effect of the diet with 20% of crude protein was significantly better than the other two kinds of diets, the average daily weight gain was 0.117kg/d; and feed formulation of black bears was optimized.The life table of breeding black bears was established, the expectation life of the black bear was 24 years old, and the age structure of the black bear population was consistent with the stable growth pattern.Analysis of the black bear farms breeding performance during 2001 to 2011,total breeding 166 fetus,280 individual were born, the twin and single litters was 117 and 49 respectively, twin rate was 70.65%; average newborn black bears per litter was 1.70. The female and male individuals was 130 and 149, respectively; by using χ2 test the sexual ratio conformed to 1:1.
