This trail was conducted to determine the apparent metabolic rate of three types of non-conventional feedstuffs,full-fat rice bran, palm kernel meal and peanut vine, for Sichuan white geese. In order to preliminary evaluate the nutritional value of the above three types of non-conventional feed resource. At the same time,by setting the ratio of different alternatives, with full-fat rice bran and palm kernel meal substitute Sichuan goose basal diet of corn, alternative basal diet of alfalfa with peanut vine,to study the effect of different replacement ratio on growth performance, meat quality and muscle fatty acid composition of Sichuan white geese, the purpose of this study is to explore the feasibility of three types of non-conventional feedstuffs applied in Sichuan white geese diets and a reasonable dosage added in the diets.(1) The results showed that the crude protein content of full-fat rice bran was up to15.16%,the nitrogen-free extract content of 23.79%,crude fiber, acid detergent fiber, neutral detergent fiber contents were 10.46%, 12.54% and41.78% respectively. But in addition to the apparent metabolic rate of acid detergent fiber was higher(59.12%), the apparent metabolic rate of neutral detergent fiber and crude fiber were low of geese.Calcium and phosphorus content of full-fat rice bran respectively were 1.8%,0.43%,the content was relatively high, but their apparent metabolism rate of only 13.83% and37.60%.(2) The dry matter content of palm kernel meal was up to 92.29%,but crude protein content was relatively low, only 12.41%; the content of nitrogen-free extract and crude fiber, respectively accounting for 16.33% and 20.15% of dry matter; gross energy can reach up 19.98MJ/kg; neutral and acid detergent fiber content of about 68.01% of dry matter and 32.83%; phosphorus content is relatively low, accounting for 0.6% and 0.49%of dry matter, and the apparent metabolic rate of calcium was negative(-110.86%).(3) The nitrogen-free extract content of peanut vine was about 3.29%,crude protein content only accounting for 7.95% of dry matter; calcium, phosphorus content is relatively high, approximately 1.64% and 1.89% of dry matter; and the apparent metabolic rate of calcium was higher(70.98%). Neutral detergent fiber and acid detergent fiber contents were 68.07% and 32.83%,but their utilization relatively low, only about 29.47% and 15%.(4) The partial replacement of corn with full-fat rice bran in geese diet, the results showed that partial replacement corn with full-fat rice bran could increase ADG during57-70d(quadratic,P<0.05). In addition, the full-fat rice bran supplementation decreased the subcutaneous fat yield,half-eviscerated carcass yield, the crude protein and the crude fat content in geese meat(linear,P<0.05; quadratic, P<0.05).In summary, the partial replacement of corn with full-fat rice bran could augment the content of total mono-unsaturated fatty acid(MUFA) and total poly-unsaturated fatty acid(PUFA)(linear,P<0.05; quadratic,P<0.05),and also had a tendency to increase the n-3fatty acids content in geese meat(linear,P<0.01). Moreover,it could decrease linoleic acid(C18:2N6C), α-linolenic acid(C18:3N3) content in geese meat(linear, P<0.05;quadratic,P<0.05).(5) The partial substitute of corn with palm kernel meal in geese diet, the results indicated that there was no significant difference with the control group on ADG,ADFI and G/F carcass and meat quality of replacement treatment during the whole experiment time(linear,P>0.05; quadratic,P>0.05).Moreover,the partial replacement could significantly increase the subcutaneous fat yield and abdominal fat yield of carcass, also could augment the content of linoleic acid(C18:2N6C),α-linolenic acid(C18:3N3) in geese muscle(linear,P<0.01; quadratic,P<0.01).The muscle eicosanoids(C20: 1) and heneicosanoic acid(C21: 0) content of palm kernel meal substitution group were significantly lower than the control group(linear,P<0.01; quadratic term,P<0.01); but for n-3,n-6 fatty acids, palm meal substitute group was significantly higher than the control group(linear,P<0.01; quadratic term,P<0.01).(6) The partial replacement of alfalfa with peanut vine meal in geese diet, the results showed the ADG, ADFI and G/F of alfalfa replacement groups were no significant differences between the control group throughout the experimental period(linear,P>0.05;quadratic term,P>0.05).But when substitution amount reached 6%,could significantly reduce the goose carcass weight, dressing percentage and eviscerated rate(linear,P<0.01;quadratic,P<0.01).The treatment of peanut vine substitution amount of 6%,the total saturated fatty acids and γ-linolenic acid(C18:3n6) was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05); the content eicosenoic(C20:1) of peanut vine substitution group was significantly lower than the control group(linear,P>0.05; quadratic,P<0.05).the content of total mono-unsaturated fatty acids(MUFA),total polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFA) was no significant difference between the control group(linear, P>0.05; quadratic term,P>0.05).In summary,we can make a conclusion that three non-conventional feedstuffs of the trials involved applies Sichuan white goose diet have theoretical and practical feasibility, adding non-conventional feedstuff in geese diet did not significantly affect the growth performance,It,s helpful to improve goose growthin during certain growth cycle, but also could improve and balance the content and ratio of muscle fatty acids.
