The attachment problem of Marine fouling organisms have been widely concerned in recent years. a host of studies have found that Shell surface has good effects of antifouling. Previous studies have indicated that their ability to antifouling and surface topography are closely linked. This study select 10 kinds of shells in the waters surrounding Dalian as research object, based on the fractal theory and SFS three dimensional reconstruction analysis, using the fractal dimension and the shell surface height parameter to characterize the surface micro structure. Through comparative analysis of different shell surface topography characteristics and the differences of the shell surface at different locations, to provide fundamental basis for marine Bionics antifouling research. This paper draws the conclusion as follows:(1)A effective method of measuring and characterizing the shell surface micro structure was proposed, used fractal dimension, Surface Roughness Variance R3 q, Surface Kurtosis Sku and Surface skewness Ssk to describe the shell surface roughness and micro structure camber. R3 q and fractal dimension have opposite relationship, that is the larger R3 q the smaller fractal dimension, and vice versa, which showed that the surface fractal dimension can be used to evaluate the roughness of the shell;(2)It can be found from a large number of collected shells that the surface of Paphia undulate keep clean and tidy, compared with the Chlamys Scallop which fouling are common, however, the fractal dimension of then are comparable. It showed that marine anti fouling not only decided by the roughness, more related to the tongue or grooves on the surface of the structure;(3)Compared with Cockle shells and Scallop shells which have radiation rib obvious, found that the Surface skewness Ssk of Cockle shells is less than zero, the Scallops is opposite, it suggests that the Cockle shells have more concave surface structure of shell, and Scallop shell have more convex structure, which may be because of Cockle shells surface with hair structure;(4)The fractal dimension of different shell surface and different location are in the range of 1.8-2.0, it can be varied according to different, for the same kind of shell, the fractal dimension greater near the top part and R3 q larger corresponding. It means that the surface near the top part rougher. Which had different roughness vary, but this basic line. |
