As the important components of soil ecosystem, soil microbe and soil enzyme can affect the structure and function of soil ecosystem, and characterize the condition of soil fertility. High photosynthetic efficiency planting pattern is able to increase crop yield by improving the utilization ratio of light energy, and increase soil organic matter and soil fertility and so on. However, the internal mechanism of high photosynthetic efficiency planting pattern of maize is how to improve crop production by affecting soil ecological environment is not clear. Therefore, this study adopt the method of regional contrast in the agricultural experimental base in Dehui city, which contains two planting patterns(high photosynthetic efficiency planting pattern and traditional planting pattern), three sampling date(In June, August and October) and three soil depth(0-10 cm, 10-25 cm, 25-40cm), to parse the influence of high photosynthetic efficiency planting pattern on soil enzyme activity and microbial biomass at different growth periods in different soil depth, and the relationship between with soil physical and chemical properties, and to reveal the microbiology mechanism of improving farmland soil fertility. The ultimate aim is to provide theoretical reference for the way to farmland fertilizer. The main results as follows:(1) High photosynthetic efficiency planting pattern can significantly increase soil urease, soil invertase and soil acid phosphatase activities. However it has not significant effect on activities of soilβ-glycosidase enzyme, soil proteinase and alkaline phosphatase. In addition, planting patterns also affect soil neutral phoaphatase activity, but the result affected by different soil depth and sampling date. Soil enzyme activity has obvious seasonal fluctuations. Except soil invertase and proteinase, soil urease, acid phosphatase, neutral phosphatase, β-glycosidase enzyme has obvious characteristics of vertical distribution.(2) High photosynthetic efficiency planting pattern can significantly increase MBC, while also increase MBN, but the difference of two planting patterns was not significant. MBC and MBN have obvious characteristics of vertical distribution. MBC also has obvious seasonal fluctuations, but sampling date has no significant effect on MBN.(3) SOM of high photosynthetic efficiency planting pattern was significantly higher than traditional planting pattern’s. And the p H value was significantly lower than traditional planting pattern’s. However there was no significant difference between two patterns of SWC, TN, TP. Sampling date and soil depth have significant influence on SWC, p H, TN and TP. But SOM only have characteristics of vertical distribution and no obvious seasonal fluctuations.
