Today, the modern textile get unprecedented development, the number of the leading producer of long-staple cotton fiber is in constant get people’s attention, long-staple cotton fibers in the growth of our country environment are mainly distributed in xinjiang, the xinjiang long-staple cotton has good performance, the fiber length, fineness, strength performance indexes have good fiber quality characteristics.In this paper, the structure and properties of xinjiang long-staple cotton fiber as the research object.By scanning electron microscope,optical microscope, infrared spectrum, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analyzer and other modern testing instruments.Study xinjiang long-staple cotton fibre morphology structure, state of aggregation structure, moisture absorption performance, the friction performance, thermal performance.The results show that turn number of long-staple cotton fiber is more than turn its number of the fine cotton fiber. The crystallinity of long-staple cotton fiber is smaller than the cotton fiber. Under the same conditions, the basic properties of the long-staple cotton fiber is better than fine cotton fiber,hand pull method and HVI measured the length of long-staple cotton fiber have certain relevance.Long-staple cotton fiber length, fineness and strength is better than fine cotton fiber, long-staple cotton fiber is less than fine cotton neps defects in, under the same conditions, the basic properties of the long-staple cotton fiber is better than fine cotton fiber. Long-staple cotton fiber moisture regain and moisture regain were higher than that of fine cotton fiber, Long-staple cotton fiber moisture absorption and put wet rate decreases faster than fine cotton fiber hygroscopic rate and wet.Long-staple cotton fiber friction coefficient.Study of the long-staple cotton fiber structure and performance, which is conducive to a better understanding of long-staple cotton fiber application in practice, as the leading producer of long-staple cotton fibre materials provide reliable theoretical basis for the application and research.
