| This paper expounds the survey about the status of urban forest construction in Fuzhou, cangshan district built-up area, analyzed the survey results. Points out some issues of urban forest construction with learning related research and actual situation of local urban construction in Fuzhou. Propose some opinions and suggestions for further development of urban Forest construction in Fuzhou. The results are as follows, by the end of 2013, Cangshan district built-up area has built up all kinds of urban green spaces totally 3863.2 hectares, green ratio has reached to 41.7 percent, the ratio of green space is 35.9 percent, the per capita public green area has reached to 9.9 square meters. The problems in the construction of urban forest include seven aspects. The first, the amount of green space of built area is not enough, and the per capita green area is too small. The second, the urban greening evaluation system is imperfect. The third, Plants form is single, unreasonable proportions. The forth, single plant species, low diversity. The fifth, vertical green application is not enough, the overall amount of green is too small. The sixth, seasonal change is significantly. The seventh, lack of maintenance management. To solve the above problems, propose the flowing suggestions for the further development of urban Forest construction in Fuzhou. The first, Increase the amount of green space in built-up area, increase the per capita green area. The secondly, make green space evaluation system perfect. The third, improve green plant diversity. The forth, promote eco-configuration of the plant. The fifth, strengthen vertical green applications. Including increased the plant species in the use of vertical greening, the rational allocation of different plant species, rich application forms and other measures.
