As a important quarantine pests in a very wide range of world, Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi is valued by all countries in the world. Although China has not yet been reported the distribution of Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi, as the increase of the trade of agricultural products between China and other countries, especially Southeast Asian countries and regions increase, the risk of this pest entering our country by the import of agricultural products is enormous. If Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi enter and colonization in China, will bring great losses to China’s agriculture and agricultural exports. Ethyl formate as a potential alternative fumigant of methyl bromide, renewed many countries attention in recent years. This paper studies Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi developmental duration, using ethyl formate fumigate Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi and import pineapple, the test results are as follows:1, Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi female adult developmental duration can be divided into five adult stages:egg, first instar, second instar, three instar and female adult. Specifically, the egg duration include 4.47 ± 0.72 days, first instar have 6.61 ± 1.19 days, the second instar have 6.15 ± 1.21 days, the third instar have 3.59±1.09 days, the female oviposition early have 9.93±1.92 days.2,At 15 ℃,20℃ and 25 ℃ using 20mg/L ethyl formate fumigate Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi eggs, larva and adult female for 3h. The results showed that the tolerance of eggs for ethyl formate was significantly higher than larva and adult female.3, At 25 ℃, use the concentration of 8mg/L,16mg/L,24mg/L,32mg/L,40mg/L,48mg/L ethyl formate fumigate Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi eggs for 3h. The results showed that Ethyl formate fumigation can significantly delay the eggs hatch; When mixed 0%,2.5%,5%,10% 15% carbon dioxide to fumigate Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi eggs 3h, the LD99.99 of eggs was 89.842mg/L,81.239mg/L, 69.043 mg/L,60.774mg/L,69.078mg/L; This proves that Carbon dioxide can be partly increase ethyl formate powder to Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi eggs,10% carbon dioxide is the best synergistic conditions.4, At 20 ℃, use the concentration of 10mg/L,20mg/L,30mg/L,40mg/L,50mg/L,60mg/L ethyl formate fumigate Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi eggs for 3h. The results showed that Ethyl formate fumigation can significantly delay the eggs hatch; When mixed 0%,2.5%,5%,10% 15% carbon dioxide to fumigate Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi eggs 3h, the LD99.99 of eggs was 120.095mg/L,105.749mg/L, 97.843mg/L,83.447mg/L,90.541mg/L; This proves that Carbon dioxide can be partly increase ethyl formate powder to Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi eggs,10% carbon dioxide is the best synergistic conditions.5, At 15 ℃, use the concentration ofl2mg/L,24mg/L,36mg/L,48mg/L,60mg/L,72mg/L ethyl formate fumigate Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi eggs for 3h. The results showed that Ethyl formate fumigation can significantly delay the eggs hatch; When mixed 0%,2.5%,5%,10% 15% carbon dioxide to fumigate Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi eggs 3h, the LD99.99 of eggs was 122.132mg/L,126.534mg/L, 120.724mg/L,108.284mg/L,116.179mg/L;This proves that Carbon dioxide can be partly increase ethyl formate powder to Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi eggs,10% carbon dioxide is the best synergistic conditions.6, At 25 ℃, the pineapple has a certain adsorption for ethyl formate, the CT products of the four treatments-30,60,90 and 120 mg/L concentrations of ethyl formate applied for 3h-were 49.68,102.56, 155.3,210.95 mg-h/L. Respiration during fumigating and fresh exposure loss within storage were inhibited, others indexs of quality showed no difference.120 mg/L EF caused crown goes bad, increased respiration and fresh exposure loss during storage.7, According to the indoor toxicity measurement results, at three different conditions:25℃,60mg/L ethyl formate mixed 10% carbon dioxide; 20 ℃,90mg/L ethyl formate mixed 10% carbon dioxide; 15℃, 120mg/L ethyl formate mixed 10% carbon dioxide to fumigate Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi eggs 3h. The results show that under the above three conditions, ethyl formate can completely kill Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi eggs, and have no bad effect to the quality of pineapple.In summary, this study shows,at different temperatures ethyl formate can quickly killed all instars of Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi and have no significant effect on the fruit. Ethyl formate fumigation is important to enhance the level of China’s quarantine treatment, guarantee China’s fruit import trade smoothly and protect the safety of China’s fruit production.
