Incubation of silkworm eggs, the technological process of promoting the development and hatch of embryo eggs to newly hatched larvae in a suitable environment, is a key project of the sericulture industry. Different developmental stages of silkworm eggs need the different conditions of temperature and humidity. Therefore, the hatching rate, the uniformity, the body strong degree and the cocoon quality of silkworm egg is determined by the control quality of the incubation’s temperature and humidity, which is directly related to the yield of cocoon and the economic benefit of sericulture industry.First of all, the process of silkworm egg incubation and the research status and development trend of the control in temperature and humidity was introduced in this paper. The problems about the control of temperature and humidity in the incubation process were pointed out, and the coupling relationship between temperature and humidity was mainly analysed.Then a combination of the method of the multi sensors information fusion and fuzzy decoupling control was used to solve the problems of coupling and uneven distribution between the incubation’s temperature and humidity in this paper. Multi points of temperature and humidity data detected by sensors were fused by the adaptive weighted fusion algorithm, and then the decoupling control of temperature and humidity was achieved through the appropriately compensation for the opening time of the temperature and humidity adjusting equipment base on the appropriate compensation of fuzzy control rules. Thus the accuracy of measurement and control was improved, and the control effect of the actual operation met the process requirements.The design and development of software and hardware of the temperature and humidity control system integrated functions of monitoring and management was completed in this paper according to the requirements of the incubation temperature and humidity process and contract assignment. The whole system adopted two control system based on a industrial computer and PLC. The Siemens S7-200 series PLC was used in the basic control level, mainly to complete the acquisition and fusion of multi temperature and humidity sensors’ date of the incubation chamber and the fuzzy decoupling control of temperature and humidity; the Advantech IPC-610H was used to the monitoring and management level, mainly to the monitor and control, alarm for the running state of system, and the data storage and query, report printing and sales management functions of silkworm eggs of the system.Moreover, the integrated temperature and humidity sensor, the signal acquisition instrument, high stability PLC and the high reliability of industrial control computer was composed of the silkworm egg incubation process control equipment, and the temperature and humidity control program and PC monitoring software programming was completed. The silkworm egg incubation control system obtained a utility-model patent, and the monitoring software of the host computer also obtained a software copyright.The achievement in this paper:the more accurate real-time measurement and control of the incubation temperature and humidity with high reliability and stability was achieved; the integration of management and control among the incubation process was completed, and the user’s needs of sales management and control were met. The operation results shows that the hatching rate of silkworm eggs was improved, the labor intensity was reduced; and the quality of silkworm egg incubation and the comprehensive benefit of silkworm and mulberry production was improved by using the system.
