In order to investigate the effect of brick-buring root-limiting and water-retenting water-saving technology on fruit trees in orchard,with early maturing apple varieties ’Gala’ and late maturing varieties’Fuji’in Weifang as materials, reducing irrigation frequency from 6 times/year to 4 times/year,. studied the effect of Water-saving and Root-nourishing on Roots and Leaves Growth characteristics,Yield and Quality of Apple.The results are as follows:1 Brick-buring and Water-retenting Technology could significantly affect the soil physicochemical properties. Under the buried brick treatment,the ability of 40cm soil layer maintaining soil moisture was higher than 20cm soil layer, and could keep the soil moisture, reduced the speed of soil water infiltration, the ability of water storage was higher, was significantly different from the control. Buried brick treatment had Insulation ability in winter and could drop temperature in summer,and the effect on 40cm soil layer was significantly different from the control. Buried brick treatment could decrease soil bulk density, increase soil porosity, permeability coefficient and soil PH. Buried brick treatment promoted soil nutrient release, At certain extent, increased nutrients and organic matter content of the soil, and then provided a good space environment and fertilizer conditions for root growth.2 Brick-buring and water-saving treatment made root biomass of Fuji and Gala greater than the conventional irrigation. In particular, significantly increased fine root biomass in the diameter of<2 mm that it was mainly in the 20~40cm soil. Buried brick and water-saving treatment made fruit trees absorbed water and nutrients, improved the drought resistance of fruit trees.3 Brick-buring water storage and water-saving technology increased chlorophyll content of, whether it was fruited or fruitless Fuji and Gala. In the flourishing time watering late, the chlorophyll fluorescence parameters(Fv/Fo、Fv/Fm、ΦDPSII、qP、NPQ、and ETR) were higher than the control. This indicates that water-saving treatment increased photochemical activity of the fruit trees.-4 Brick-buring and water-saving treatment made fruit weight, fruit shape index, soluble solid content, sugar-acid ratio of Gala and Fuji is significantly higher than the conventional irrigation. Effect of water-saving treatment on apple polyphenols changed changes with different time period,175 days after full bloom, pericarp total polyphenols was higher than the control under Brick-buring and was obviously different from control.In maturity time, water-saving treatment increased catechin and tables catechin content of the pulp and peel, was significant differences compared with the control.
