Agricultural irrigation with saline water, on the one hand, can effectivelyalleviate the shortage of water resources, the soil water content increased; on theother hand, saline water increases the salt of the soil, soil are facing the crisis ofthe high salt content. Therefore, the means by which to make scientific andrational use of saline water, so that it can serve for agriculture irrigation and canavoid the salinization of soil, is the core problem of saline water. This paper inreference to domestic and foreign the relevant research results of saline water, using the method combined with indoor water test and outdoor irrigation, to studythe effect of different water supply modes and different water quality on soil watersalt distribution, crop growth and yield. The following results were obtained:(1) Under the same irrigation quantity, the salt content in the soil increasedwith the increasement of the salinity of irrigation water quality; the emergencerate of three kinds of test crops decreased and the period of seedling emergencewas delayed, the physiological indexes of plant height, diameter and leaf numberpresented decreasing trend, these phenomena are related to the inhibition ofdifferent degree produced by the increasement of the content of crop growth activity; with the salinity increasing by10~30%,test crop yield reduced and theones managed with dry condition even reduced by40~50%.(2) Compared with the continuous irrigation, intermittent irrigation soilmoisture distribution is more uniform when the irrigation water is the same, saltcontent of which in soil of0~20cm is higher while the one in the soil of20~40cmis lower. In the intermittent irrigation experiment of crop seedling, seedlingemergence rate decreased by10%and germination time delayed by0.3~0.91days.The reason is that the intermittent irrigation soil salt content increased, whichinhibited seedling growth of crop. After the end of seedling growth index, intermittent irrigation test crop is better. Compared with continuous irrigation, theplant height was8.1~10.2%higher, which is related with the situation thatintermittent irrigation after soil moisture is7.7~13.1%higher than that incontinuous irrigation, which is beneficial to crop growth.(3) The water and salt distribution on the surface of the soil with themanagement of alternate salty and light irrigation behaved best. The content ofwater in the soil of0-40cm surface was higher and the one of salt was lower. Thewater content of the soil could increase by20.9%and the soil content decreasedby20.4%,which can promote the growth of the crops. Compared with the seedlingemergence rate under the condition of light salty alternate irrigation, seedlingemergence rate of the crops in the experiment under the condition of saltyalternate irrigation behaved highest, the period of which is the shortest and theyield of crops is the highest.
