The experimental subjects for Babylonia lutosa. The materials on Lianjiang and Guangxi wild populations、Lianjiang and Changle cultured populations respectively. Morphometry measurement of cultured and wild populations. And the use of four different groups of Babylonia lutosa amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) markers for the genetic diversity analysis.(1) Analysis of morphological effects on body mass effect:By correlation analysis, path analysis and decision analysis, we used six morphological proportional characters(Body weight(W),shell height(A),shell width(B), Aperture width(C),Body whorl height (D),spiral height (E)) to four Babylonia lutosa group (LJYN,LJWN,GXYN,CLYN) external morphological characteristics on body weight effect were analyzed. To explore the main phenotypic traits Babylonia lutosa quality.Correlation analysis showed that the measured morphological traits significantly correlated with body weight (P<0.05).Path analysis indicated that whorl height showed predominant direct effect on body weight of Guangxi and Changle Babylonia lutosa, and the path analysis coefficiencies were0.860and0.633.However, shell mouth with showed predominant direct effect on body weight of Lianjiang wild population, and shell with showed predominant difect effect on body weight of cultured population. The determinant coefficients in Lianjiang wild and culture population and Guangxi wild and Changle culture populations were0.952,0.845,0.921,0.904, and the results showed the morphometric attributes chosen in present study were the major attributes which were significantly related with body weight.(2) Morphological comparisons:By applying correlation analysis、Cluster analysis and Principal component analysis, to analyze the morphological variations from four different populations of Babylonia lutosa, which were respectively located in Changle,Lianjiang,Guangxi. Research suggests the different characteristics of the4groups are divided into two types, namely, body weight, shell width, the opening width of3characters will be4groups into the wild and cultured populations of group two categories, and the breeding group>wild populations, While the body whorl height, spiral high but4groups to Changle culture and Lianjiang culture+Guangxi+Lianjiang wild. From cluster and principal component analyses, morphological characters were rather similar between Lianjiang cultured populations and wild populations, whereas some morphological variance was found between Changle cultured populations and Guangxi wild populations. Three principal components were constructed,he contributory ratio, from high to low,was53.56%,20.54%and14.01%, respectivel,with88.11%the cumulative contributory ratio.(3) AFLP:In the present study, the genetic diversity of four populations of Babylonia lutosa(Lamer)(LJWN,LJYN,CLYN,GXWN)was analyzed by amplified fragment length polymorphisms (AFLP). For the assessment,total908bands were generated from four populations using11different primer combinations,684(75.33%)polymorphic fragments.224(24.67%)are share by four populations. To analyze the genetic diversity index, the effective number of alleles, the average number of alleles. Shannon’s diversity index and Average heterozygosity were ranged1.5006,1.9740,0.4647,0.3034;Nei’s genetic distanty and Genetic similarity coefficient were ranged from0.1284to0.1806and0.8348to0.8795.Data analysis shows that relatively rich genetic diversity, and high genetic similarity among populations in four populations of Babylonia lutosa(Lamer). Results of Analysis of molecular variance(AMOVA) and assignment test revealed83.49%variation originate within group,14.65%variation originate regional in four populations.Genetic variance、GST and NM were1.86%,0.1954and2.0586in between four population groups.Indicates that the gene exchange level is very low. The analysis results UPGMA and PCA showed that the nearest genetic distance Changle cultured populations and Guangxi wild populations. The farthest genetic distance Lianjiang wild populations.
