Crystal sugar orange was successful breeded since1963in Hongjiang City,for its excellent quality, sweet taste and tender pulp have received high market welcome, Many provinces and cities introduce Crystal sugar orange from Hongjiang City, but fruit appearance and quality of Crystal sugar orange in other cities are all inferior to the origin area. In order to clarify the reason why Crystal sugar orange in Hongjiang City own high field and excellent quality, this test have investgated and analysised the climate condition, geographical environmental factors, soil basic properties and nutrient status of twelve Crystal sugar orange production base in Hongjiang City and have extracted the key factor that influence the quality of Crystal sugar orange with the method of correlation analysis and principal component analysis. The main conclusions are as follows.(1)The climate conditions of Hongjiang City contribute to the growth and good quality formation of Crystal sugar orange. Annual average temperature about17.5℃is benefit to the fruit colouring and sugar accumulation, average temperature about4.0-5.9℃in January and minimum temperature above-4℃,which ensure the leaves protection and survival success of trees in winter, daily temperature range about10℃in July to October,which contribute to the formation of soluble solids, sugar and other substances accumulation, annually plentiful rainfall fully meet the need on water.(2) The investgated showed that there are4types of soil parent material in12planting base of Crystal sugar orange. Crystal sugar oranges planted in soils derived from Purple glutenite weathering and sandstone weathering have better quality not only on appearance and shape but also on professional taste identification than other two soils developed from Plate shale weathering and quaternary red soil.(3) The basic condition of Crystal sugar orange production with superior quality are the slightly acidic soil and suitable soil organic matter content. The adequate supply of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and Cooper, Zinc, Manganese, Iron and other trace elements is the guarantee of good quality formation about Crystal sugar orange. The correlation analysis showed that soil total nitrogen, total phosphorus, available phosphorus, available potassium content have significantly or highly significantly positive correlation with content of soluble solid and vitamin C in Crystal sugar orange, soil available Cooper, Zinc, Manganese, Iron have significantly or high significantly positive correlation with the content of vitamin C in Crystal sugar orange.(4) Principal component analysis indicated that feature value of the first two principal components extracted from twenty-two factors which can be quantified reache to79%contribution rate, thus, these two principal components can be used to make general analysis on things properties. Soil texture(>0.01mm physical sand%) and macronutrient content in the first principal component have higher weight coefficient, soil pH and available Ca, Fe, Mo, B content in the second principal components have higher weight coefficient.(5) Factors that Influence quality of Crystal sugar orange include not only climate factors and soil parent material types, but also soil fertility and soil fertility-supply ability. Therefore, in the practice of Crystal sugar orange planting and cultivation manage-ment, we should not only choose a reasonable planting garden, but also enhance the cultivation of garden soil and improve soil fertility level.
