Eucommia leaves and Honeysuckle, which widely planted and rich sources, be used as Chinese herbal additives is a hot topic of research applications in livestock and poultry production.On the basis of the determination of main component of Eucommia leaves and Honeysuckle, This test was divided to two parts and researched effects of Eucommia leaves, Honeysuckle on production performance, immunity, cholesterol metabolism and egg quality of hens respectively, designed to further explore the mechanism the Eucommia leaves, honeysuckle regulate production performance, material metabolism of hens and egg quality, and to provide a scientific basis for the use of the Eucommia leaf, Honeysuckle in laying hens.1.Determination of main components Eucommia leaf, Honeysuckle(1) The component of Eucommia Ulmides O liv leaves:DM:93.68±0.08(%), CP:12.69±0.05(%), EE:5.03±0.06(%), CF:14.04±0.15(%), Ash:7.78±0.09(%), Ca:1.02±0.02(%), P:0.24±0.04(%), PDG:3.17±0.05(mg/g), AU:12.77±0.10(mg/g), CA:18.06±0.26(mg/g), GP:0.55±0.05(mg/g), GPA:0.64±0.31(mg/g), Total flavonoids:12.87±0.03(mg/g).(2)The component of Honeysuckle:DM:94.13±0.12(%), CP:13.14±0.08(%), EE:3.59±0.02(%), CF:11.71±0.08(%), Ash:8.27±0.06(%), Ca:0.75±0.04(%), P:0.37±0.02(%), Galuteolin:0.63±0.02(mg/g), CA:10.02±0.08(mg/g), Total flavonoids:8.07±0.04(mg/g).2.Effects of Eucommia leaves, Honeysuckle on production performance, immunity, cholesterol metabolism and egg quality of hens Test one:200hens (similar performance) with the age of190were randomly selected and divided into control group,group Ⅰ,group Ⅱ,group Ⅲ (5replications of10layers per replicate for each group). Ⅰ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ were supplemented with1%,1.5%,2%of eucommia ulmides oliv respectively. The experiment was divided into two stage:7days of pre-feeding period,70days of test period.Test two:250hens (similar performance) with the age of190were randomly selected and divided into the control group, group A, group B, group C group D (5replications of10layers per replicate for each group).A, B, C and D were supplemented with0.5%,1%,1.5%,2%of Honeysuckle powder respectively. The experiment was divided into two stage:7days of pre-feeding period,70days of test period.The results are as follows:(1) Production performance:Test one,The egg production rate of group Ⅱ and group Ⅲ was significantly higher than the control (P<0.01);Among the groups, the average egg weight difference was not significant (P>0.05); the feed/egg ratio of group I was significantly higher than the control (P<0.01),Compared to control group,group Ⅱ and Ⅲ was no significant difference (P>0.05); the soft and broken egg rate of each test group was higher than the control. Test two:The egg production rate of all the test group was significantly higher than the control (P<0.01), and group B was the highest; Among the groups, the average egg weight difference was not significant; the feed/egg ratio of groupA, B,D was significant lower than he control group (P<0.01);the soft and broken egg rate of group B,group C was lower than the control group A,group D.(2)Immunity:Test one, added Eucommia leaves powder in diet can improve the level of IgG, IgM, IgA, IFN-γ, IL-1, LYS, CH50in serum.Compared with the control group,group I can increase level of IFN-γ, LYS very significantly(P<0.01);groupⅡcan increase level of IFN-γ, IL-1, LYS, CH50very significantly(P<0.01); group Ⅲ can significantly increase the level of IgG, IgM, IgA (P<0.05), increase level of IFN-γ, IL-1, LYS, CH50very significantly(P<0.01). Test two, compared with the control group, Added Honeysuckle powder in diet can improve the level of IgG, IgM, IgA, IFN-γ, IL-1, LYS, CH50in serum.the level of IgG, IgM, IgA in group A, group B, group C, group D were very significantly increased(P<0.01); the level of IFN-γ, IL-1in group C, group D were very significantly increased(P<0.01); the level of LYS in group B,C,D were very significantly increased (P<0.01); the level of CH50in group A,C were significantly increased(P<0.05).(3)Cholesterol metabolism:Test one, compared with the control group,group Ⅱ, Ⅲcan reduce the level of TC in serum very significantly(P<0.01), increase the level of GC very significantly (P<0.01); group Ⅲ can significantly increase the level of CYP7al (P<0.05); the level of TG, LDL-C, HDL-C, HMGR, T4in serum have no significant change(P>0.05). Test two, Compared with the control group, the level of TC in group C,D were very significantly reduced (P<0.01); the level of CYP7al in group B,C,D were very significantly increased(P<0.01); the level of HMGR,INS in group B,C,D were very significantly reduced (P<0.01); the level of GC in group C,D were significantly increased (P<0.05); the level of TG, LDL-C, HDL-C, HMGR, T4in serum have no significant change(P>0.05).(4)Egg quality:Test one, the yolk cholesterol conten in group Ⅰ, Ⅱ,Ⅲ were very significant lower than control group (P<0.01); the phospholipid content in group Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ were higher than control group, but the difference was not significant(P>0.05); compared with the control group, all the experimental group can increase the alkanes species, to improve egg yolk flavor; compared to control groups, SFA content of group Ⅱ, Ⅲ decreased very significantly(P<0.01); group Ⅲ PUFA content was significantly increased compared with the control group(P<0.05); compared with the control group, the total AA of all the experimental group has no significant impact(P>0.05). Test two, Compared with the control group, The yolk cholesterol conten in group B, C, D were significant lower than control group (P<0.05); the phospholipid content in groupA, B, C, D were higher than control group, but the difference was not significant(P>0.05); each test group can increase the alkanes categories, reducing the types of acids; the SFA content of group C decreased very significantly (P<0.01); UFA content of group A, C, D increased very significantly (P<0.01); MUFA content of group C increased very significantly (P<0.01); PUFA content of groupA, D increased significantly (P<0.05); the total AA of group A decreased significantly (P<0.05).In summary, the Eucommia Ulmides Oliv leaves, honeysuckle can improve egg production rate, improve the layer immunity, improve cholesterol metabolism in laying hens in vivo, reduce the cholesterol content of egg yolk, increase the unsaturated fatty acid content and improve the substance of the egg yolk flavor premise composition. Just from this test, the appropriate addition of Eucommia leaves is2%, honeysuckle is1.5%and which is more obvious impact on production performance, immune, cholesterol metabolism and egg quality of laying hens.
