In recent years, Xinjiang hybrid cotton production development rapidly, hybrid cotton area is increasing. At present in Xinjiang the hybrid cotton varieties most of is hybrid F1seeds, and which obtained by artificial emasculation and pollination, production process is complex operation and high cost, so that the F1generation seeds has high price, which factors hybrid cotton in the production of large scale planting in a large extent. The F2generation of hybrid cotton seed prices is lower, but the F2generation as a controversial field production at present, it is of use value to be discussed.In this paper, summarizes and draws the following conclusions through years of testing, research, demonstration.1、F1hybrid cotton and F2generation in the field of phenotypic exist different degree of heterosis. Agronomic traits of F2generation plant on the boll number, total fruit number to F1still has strong advantages, were extremely significant positive correlation on plant heigh and fruit branch number, F2generation compared with F1generation segregating in plant height, leaf type, bell shaped morphology is very small, F2and F1generations compared with the whole stage plants showed a stronger growth potential, the growth process is almost synchronous.2、yield compare between F1, and F2. Xinluzao No.43, Xinluzao56F2compared to the F1generation still exists a yield advantage, Xinluzao No.43seed cotton, lint, cotton lint yield before frost of F2generation than F1reduction of5.1%,6.9%,8.1%respectively; Xinluzao No.56seed cotton, lint, cotton lint yield before frost of F2generation as F1-2.3%、-2.5%、-4.3%; two F1hybrided combination with a combination of F2generation were compared, the seed cotton yield F2than F1cut5.1%,3.1%; total lint yield reduction of6.9%、4.1%of F2than F1,the gap is very small.The results show that the two hybrid combinations of F2and F1generations had no significant differences in yield.3、F1, F2generation of hybrid cotton fiber quality index difference. Look at distribution map from the number of average Xinluzao No.43, Xinluzao56F1, F2generation of the fiber quality indexes and different quality individual number, no significant differences in the average number of F1generation and F2generation, and the frequency distribution of the same tendency. Cotton fiber in the F2generation, in addition to significant differences in length difference, other than a generation of fiber quality indexes were not significant.4、Xinluzao43, Xinluzao56generation F2application prospect. Two varieties of F2generation reusable, production can be popularized in large area, reduced the cost of hybrid seeds, at the same time change for Xinluzao43and Xinluzao56after reciprocal on the fiber quality, yield, agronomic traits is very small and not much difference, positive and negative cross for two varieties make a technology mature, improves the production efficiency, increase the seed yield and large area is more conducive to the promotion of the varieties.The Heterosis of cotton has broad application prospects, and with the deepening of the research work, the Cotton Heterosis can be further used in production, continue to play a greater efficiency. So if you can use hybrid F2generation, and two generation in yield than F1generation loss is not too obvious, can greatly improve the production of heterosis utilization area, is the production of the F2generation is a practical effective choice.
