Anoectochilus roxburghii, a kind of Anoectochilus plant belongs to Orchidaceae, was used as thematerial in this study. The main purpose of this study was to get well known about the growingregulation of A.roxburghii through the cultivation and the influence of different fertilizations on thegrowing condition and chemical contents so as to put up some advices on cultivation methods ofA.roxburghii. And the quality of different kinds of A.roxburghii was studied and evaluated by extractingand analyzing main chemical contents of them to provide some reference on the further study ofA.roxburghii.1. Through the cultivation study, we got that A.roxburghii showed different growing conditions indifferent months. That was, during March to August A.roxburghii grew healthily at a fast speed. In thisperiod, the height, the ground diameter and the fresh weight all increased significantly. With time wentinto September, the growing speed of the A.roxburghii tended to slow down obviously and there werebuds appeared on the top of the plants. In November, the A.roxburghii blossomed and the fruit wasmatured in January, after that A.roxburghii went into a kind of dormant state.2. In the fertilization study, different fertilization treatments were evaluated according to the resultsof the fertilization study by marking according to the results, that was, the higher of the results meansthe higher of the marks. And the highest result was regarded as the best treatment, which was marked to10points; the the lowest result was regarded as the worst treatment, which was marked to3points. Asto physical index, the final marks were ranked as follows: NPK(54points)>NP(47points)>PK(44points)>NK(41points)>K(40points)>N(38points)>P(32points)>CK(19points), which means that the NPKtreatment was the best one, in which the general growing condition of A.roxburghii was the best in alltreatments. According to the chemical contents’ analysis, the P fertilization treatment was the best one tothe contents of the polysaccharides and the total flavonoids, which were6.41%and0.59%respectively.3. Microwave technique was applied in extracting the polysaccharides, the total flavonoids and theproanthocyanidins of different kinds of A.roxburghii. The results showed that different extractingconditions affected the contents of the polysaccharides and the total flavonoids significantly. When thetime, the temperature and the power were fixed, the contents of the polysaccharides and the totalflavonoids were the highest when the extracting ratio of the material to the liquor was1:20(the resultswere ranked as A.roxburghii> A. Formosanus>A.roxburghii in Guangxi Province). As to the contents of proanthocyanidins, that of A.roxburghii was the highest in the three kinds of A.roxburghii, whichcomes to0.177%, and that of A. Formosanus and A.roxburghii in Guangxi Province were0.084%and...
