Chloris virgata. is an annual grass with bush form, which has a strong ecological adaptability, widely distributed in the degraded plains and saline meadow, often become its restoration succession of pioneer plants. Under different lightness, temperatures, soil, p H and burial depth are simulated with the artificial climate chamber, as well as at different time points, burial depth and seed germination under natural outdoor conditions were experimentally tested and comparatively analyzed. Thereby the potential and conditions of C. virgata seed germination are systemic understood. Not only has a certain theoretical significance for the reasonable but also has a certain guiding significance for development and utilization of alkaline grass. The main results are as follows:In condition of artificial climate chamber simulation of regulation, regardless of any temperature or light conditions, the C.virgata seed showed highest germination rate in black soil substrate or sandy soil substrate, and this can be up to 60%-70%; while the germination rate was only 30%-40% in alkaline soil substrate. Thus, compared with alkaline soil, black soil and sandy soil were more suitable for C. virgata seed germination. The processing results showed that alkali stress: The optimum p H value for germination was in between of 8.32 to 8.86, and the highest germination rate can reach 50%-60%. The seed germination rate was 51.4% in p H 6.67; germination rate was 40% in p H 9.78; germination rate was 30.4% in p H 10.56. The germination of C.virgate seed was benefits in the appropriate amount of alkali stress, therefore, both high and low were unfavorable than the appropriate ones.In condition of artificial climate chamber simulation of regulation, different light treatment on different soil substrates had various impacts on C. virgata seed germination:(1) black soil substrate showed highest germination rate at light treatment of 90001 x, and the germination rate were 59.5%, 69% and 67.4% under temperature conditions of 20°C, 25°C and 30°C respectively.(2) Sandy soil substrate showed highest germination rate at light treatment of 9000 lx, and the germination rate was 59% in temperature condition of 20°C; the germination rate was 67.4% in temperature condition of 25°C with light treatment of 30001x; the germination rate was 64.4% in temperature condition of 30°C with light treatment of 3001 x.(3) Alkaline soil substrate in temperature conditions of 20°C and 25°C showed highest germination rate at light treatment of 90001 x, which was 39.6% and 55.8% respectively; this substrate in temperature conditions of 30°C showed highest germination rate at light treatment of 30001 x, which was 47.6%.In simulation condition in artificial climate chamber, different tempreture treatment on different soil substrates had various impacts on C. virgata seed germination:(1)Black soil substrate showed highest germination rate at 30℃,under dark treatment and light treatment of 30001 x, the germination rate was 69%.(2)Sandy soil substrate showed highest germination rate at 30℃ under dark treatment the germination rate was 62%, the germination rate was 67.4% in temperature condition of 25°C with light treatment of 30001x; the germination rate was 59% in temperature condition of 25°C with light treatment of 90001 x.(3)Alkaline soil substrate in temperature conditions of 25°C showed highest germination rate at light treatment of 90001 x and under dark treatment, which was 41% and 55.8% respectively; this substrate in temperature conditions of 30°C showed highest germination rate at light treatment of 30001 x, which was 47.6%.The interaction of the ecological factors of C. virgate seed germination showed extremely significant effectIn outdoor natural condition, time treatment affected the germination rate of C. virgate seed in different soil substrates.(1) C. virgate seed germination rates in July and August were higher than in September with all 3 different soil substrates.(2) Seeds with black soil substrate showed the highest germination rates, which were 63% and 65% in July and August respectively; sandy soil substrate ranked the second, and the germination rates were 58% and 60% in July and August; alkaline soil substrate had the lowest germination rates, which were 37% and 43.6% in July and August. The germination rate of C.virgate seed in different buried depth of the soil substrates:(1)seed germination rate in depth of 1cm in July was highest with all 3 different soil substrates, which were 72.6%、64.8%、53.4%.(2)Surface of germination in August is highest with black soil and alkaline soil substrates, which were 63.6%、43.6%, in depth of 1cm was highest with sandy soil substrates, which was 67.2%.(3)In depth of 2cm in September was highest with sandy soil and black soil, which were 52.2% and 56.8%, in depth of 1cm with alkaline soil, which was 31.6%. Processing factors of the interaction of C.virgate seed germination showed extremely significant effect. In conclusion, each ecological factors and processing factors affect of C.virgate seed germination, the more significant effects on the germination of the interaction. So, C.virgate seed germination is the product of comprehensive ecological factors effect.
