The objective of the thesis was to study effects of common roughage’s associated effect on mutton sheep, aimed at improving the mutton sheep feed intake and daily gain, reducing production cost. The first part: Study of roughage rumen dynamic degradation rate with Nylon Bag MethodMeasured common nutrition components of feedstuff and its rumen dynamic degradation rates, as the basic data for the next experiences. In this study, six single roughage(Whole plant corn silage, peanut straw, alfalfa hay, Guinea Grass, ammoniated corn straw and corn straw) were analysis for the conventional nutrition ingredients(DM, ASH, CP, EE, NDF, ADF), Ca, P and energy, and determined rumen degradation parameters at 4 h, 8 h, 12 h, 24 h, 48 h, 72 h with the nylon bags method respectively. The results showed that rude protein and OM rumen degradation rate were extremely higher than the other roughage(P <0.05).The second part: Evaluation of roughage association effects with in vitro incubation method. According to the data of trail 1, four different diets were mixed with concentrate/roughage ratio of 52:48, all the diets have the same concentration ingredient, including corn, wheat bran, soya bean meal and extruded soybean. The roughage ingredients of diet A included Whole plant corn silage, peanut straw, alfalfa hay and Guinea Grass, diet B included Whole plant corn silage, peanut straw, Guinea Grass and corn straw, diet C included Whole plant corn silage, peanut straw, Guinea Grass, corn straw and urea, diet D included Guinea Grass, ammoniated corn straw and corn straw. p H, NH3-N, VFA, MCP and total gas production were determined by in vitro incubation. The results showed, No differences were found in p H at 48 h between different groups(P >0.05); The content of NH3-N was highest in group C and significantly increased between 24 h and 48 h; In the aspect of VFA, the content of group A and B were higher than group C and D. The content of MCP production in group A was the most, group B was the second; No extremely differences were found in gas production(P >0.05), while group A and B were slightly higher than the other groups. From the above, the results indicated that the roughage in group A and B can produce positive associated effects. The third part: Influence of different mixed diets on production performance of mutton sheep. 125 texel sheep, with an initial average live weight of 33.56±5.09 kg, were used as experimental animals. According to sex, experimental sheep were divided into 12 bar, 11~12 ewes each bar and 9~10 rams each bar. Adopt the method of random sampling, 12 bar were divided into four group(corresponding to the four different diets), each group had one different sex bar at least. Experimental period lasted 40 d. The results showed, No differences were found between four groups(P >0.05), ADG in group A was 312 g/d, higher than group B, C and D, while group A had the least feed intake per day, 1.813 kg/d.These results showed that: There is associative effects between roughages. The whole plant corn silage: peanut straw: guinea grass: corn straw = 22:8:6:10.8 group 48 h ammonia nitrogen content in the highest, the whole plant corn silage: peanut straw: guinea grass: alfalfa hay = 22:10:6:10 group 48 h microbial protein and total volume content in the highest. According to the daily situation, the whole plant corn silage: peanut straw: guinea grass: corn straw = 22:8:6:10.8 group is the best diet feeding.
