Tomato Varieties Test

Tomato with high edible value,consumption and cultivation is one of the most extensive vegetable all of the world. In recent years, the tomato cultivation area is expanding, the identification of adaptability, yield, resistance and economic value becomes more important for variety selection, market promotion and reasonable layout, to accelerate the application of tomato breeding achievements.From December 2013 to July 2014, this experiment was carried out in sunlight greenhouse of Gaoling Ten Thousand Mu Agricultural Demonstration Garden,Xian city of Shaanxi province, China. The method was applied according to the requirements of The National Variety Regional Test Project. Total 60 common tomato and cherry tomato varieties were planted,the main six categories such as the phenological period, plant trait, fruit character, commercial, yield and disease resistance,,about 41 characters were observed in the field.With the analysis and comparison with the check variety, six cherry tomato varieties(Y06, Y13, Y14, Y15, Y21 and Y27) and five common tomato varieties(F05, F13, F14, F15 and F16) were selected and recommended to plant in Shaanxi.
