| The article studies the effects of agastache powder on cow rumen regulation, growth performance and blood index of beef cattleinthe following two ways: in vitro experiment, andin vivo experiment. This research expected to select the proper addingamount of agastache powder,as the only feeding. This study consisted of 3 experiments as followed.Experiment 1. Effects of Agastache Powder on Rumen Fermentationof Beef Cattle. After the9-day preliminary experiment for cattle with permanent rumen fistula, the rumen fluidwas picked out and add processed agastache in accordance with the appropriate proportion and conduct the experiment by vitro manual simulation method. Thee xperiment was arranged 4 treatment groups with the different additive amount of agastache : 0mg/m L powder of rumen fluid for the control group, 10 for Group L, 20 for Group M, and 30 for Group H, and collect samplings respectively at the following 5 time nodes for each treatment group: 2ã€4ã€8ã€12ã€24h, repeat three times for each time node, 1 ferment container for each repeat.The gas production, pH value, NH3-N, VFA,mycoprotein concentration and cellulase enzyme activity of fermentation liquor at was measure at the each time node.Experiment 2 : Effects of Agastache Powder on Growth Performance and Blood Biochemical Index of Beef Cattle: 16 Simmental crossbred cattle at 18~20 mouths age and in well health state and with similar body conditions were selected. The experiment cattle were divided into 4 groups with 4 replicates of 1 cattle each, and add agastache powder according to beneficiated burden material supple mentary feed amount of beef cattle as the following amounts: 0.0%(control group),2.4%(Group L), 4.8%(Group M) and 7.2%(Group H). The indexes of blood biochemical, body weight and body size of the beef cattle were evaluated..Experiment Results:(1) The in vitro experiment showed that the gas production of each experiment group is higher than that of the control group. The gas production of group M and H witness significantly increased at 2~12h compared with the control group(P< 0.05); the p H values of all the experiment groups was decreased compared with the control group, and showed a trend of decreasing rapidly at first and then decreasing slowing, and at 4h~12h, that of Group M and H are significantly lower than the other two groups(P< 0.05); the concentration of the treatment group TVFA, acetic acid and butyric acid are higher than that of the control group, and the results of Group M were most significant than others(P< 0.05); the NH3-N of each treatment group iswithin the tolerance range and its peakwas at 2h, and the average value of NH3-N in each group is not significant(P< 0.05); the BCP of Group M was rised significantly also after 8h than that of the control group(P< 0.05); the difference in three kinds of enzyme activity between each treatment group and the control group is not significant(P> 0.05), but the trend wasbasically the same, and both of them reached valley value 2h~4h and reached the peak value 8h~12h after feeding.(2) With the increasing anmount of agastache powder of the experimental cattle,in the diagonal length, body height and chest circumference were significantly increased compered with the control group(P<0.05). Measure the variable quantity before and after the experiment and found that : the increasing of body diagonal length of Group M and Group H was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05), and the increasing of chest circumference of Group M was sign ificantly higher than that of other groups(P<0.05), but there was no sign ificant difference in increasing of body height and circumference of cannon bone(P>0.05);the body weight of each group of the cattle all increased during the whole experimental period, the increasing body weight before and after the experiment showed that, the increasing body weight of Group M was significantly higher than that of other groups(P<0.05);the daily increasing body weight showed that, the daily increasing body weight of Group M was also significantly higher than that of other groups(P<0.05). The increasing weight of Group Lã€Group Mã€Group H increased respectively by 5.78%ã€11.78%ã€7.18% than the control group. The resuls showed that the GLU of treatment group was decreased,and Group H was significantly lower than that of other groups(P<0.05);the BUN content of Group M and Group H was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05);the TP of each treatment group were rised significantly than that of the control group(P<0.05);the ALB of Group M and Group H decreased significantly than the control group(P<0.05),GLOB increased significantly(P<0.05);TCã€LDLã€HDL and TG differ each other in significantly in each group(P>0.05);the AST of Group M and Group H decreased significantly than that of the control group and Group L(P<0.05), and the LDH of Group M and Group H was significantly higher than that of the control group and Group L(P<0.05),ALT and ALP didn’t show significant difference in statistics(P>0.05);In general, the additive amount of agastache can exert varying impacts on rumen regulation process, blood biochemical index and body weight. |
