Crop fertility period in China,because of less rainfall,rivers and other water shortage,make the soil water content down low,crops grown in a certain period of the water is less than the amount of water, provided damage the normal growth of crops,affecting people’s production and life. Precision agriculture is the development direction of China’s agriculture,if want to build a precision agriculture system which accords with the situation of China,must want to build a suitable for precision agriculture information management mode. In order to make the agricultural drought resistance level increases,the understanding of dynamic land drought change,narrowing of drought and soil moisture content monitoring system establish extensive coverage has become a corresponding one of the important tasks of the department of agriculture. This topic research is a form of precision agriculture,soil business data wireless monitoring system. Soil moisture is usually refers to the soil moisture conditions. Soil moisture is a crop seed emergence,growth and yield formation,one of the important conditions. Often focus on farmland soil moisture and its changes,but for real-time agricultural irrigation or drainage forms provide a scientific basis.In this paper, the design of soil moisture monitoring system, mainly to complete the soil moisture monitoring station of hardware design and the software design part, hardware part is mainly on the choice of microcontroller, sensor, and GPRS module were detailed introduction and analysis and monitoring system of the overall circuit is analyzed. The software part is mainly carried out a series of program of moisture collection. The system is mainly completed a long-term continuous monitoring, remote acquisition device automatically collect soil moisture real-time data, and realizes through the GPRS wireless network remote data transmission, monitoring center can automatically receive data, automatic storage to the database where the monitoring site. Can according to the needs of monitoring, smart planted soil moisture sensor; sensor can be placed in different depth measurement of soil moisture conditions. Soil moisture monitoring system can be very comprehensive, scientific, compared to a true response is change of soil monitoring, timely and accurately is to monitor the soil moisture status, in order to reduce the disaster and drought resistance provide important information.In this paper,the point is to soil moisture signal collection,processing,data wireless transmission and real-time remote monitoring the soil moisture,designed a set of complete moisture signal collection and processing, soil moisture content based on GSM/GPRS data transmission and remote monitoring center of the soil moisture data classification display, graphic analysis and automatic storage system. Design of a monitoring and control system based on GPRS data transmission technology of the client. This paper introduces the hardware and software structure of the system,soil moisture and the soil moisture data collection and processing of signals transmission method and process of the communication method of the system software, the structure and the function of the detailed analysis of the program. This paper experiment and application on the system characteristics are studied and analyzed. As a practical application system,the soil moisture data wireless monitoring system based on GPRS fully consider the needs of practical operation.
