Wan-jiang Urban Belt Demonstration is the key area for Anhui which achieved accelerated rise, and has an important strategic position on the undertake industrial transfer in Midwest, that its ecological environment has good or bad influence, and is the main part for the construction of ecological civilization, which carry out the ecological suitability assessment of far-reaching significance to forestry for Wan-jiang demonstration area of forest resources. In order to breakthrough of traditional monitoring and assessment mode of forest resources, This article use 1985,2004 and 2011 TM remote sensing image as the basic data sources which the phase was close, and combined with the 1:50000 administrative map, topographic map, soil type map, statistical yearbook, SPOT5 Remote sensing based remote sensing image, etc., on RS, GIS and other technical support, we used Erdas9.2 on remote sensing image using for band combination, geometric correction, image enhancement and cutting, such as pretreatment, and then selects the supervised classification to extract information of land use type in the study area to build three periods of land use type for landscape classification, extraction and using Fragstats software which obtained obvious ecological meaning of landscape index, using analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to determine the weight of coefficient, and using fuzzy mathematics method to determine the evaluation model, finally we construct the ecological suitability evaluation system of forest resources, for Wan-jiang demonstration area,so that we can study the ecological suitability of the evaluation system forest resources in the studied area ecological suitability of the evaluation system.(1) The extraction for current land use type and landscape index information. According to the 1985,2004 and 2011, the 3 TM remote sensing image data for same time, the combination for optimal band of remote sensing image, geometric correction, image enhancement and tailoring, such as data preprocessing, using supervised classification method to obtain the land use type classification figure in the study area. Landscape analysis software Fragstats is utilized to extract the landscape spatial pattern for the index, considering the ecological significance of landscape index, and the connection between the forest landscape analysis, the c optimal selection of characteristics for shannon diversity index (SHDI), shannon evenness index (SHEI), the number of patches (NP), patch density (PD), perimeter-surface integral dimension (PAFRAC), landscape shape index (LSI) and percentage (PLAND) to participate for analysis.(2) The building of forest resources for ecological suitability evaluation system. Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is used to determine the weight coefficient of each evaluation factor considering a dimensional problem data normalization processing, and finally based on the fuzzy weighted average model to construct ecological suitability evaluation model of forest resources in the study area.(3) The Wan-jiang demonstration area of forest resources ecological suitability evaluation result analysis. Take Wan-jiang demonstration zone as a whole forest resources ecological suitability evaluation score values for 1985,2004,2004 respectively 53.22, 57.21,58.14,26 years then scoring value rising continuously, the regional forest resources ecological suitability for good trend is very obvious. Chizhou various cities:1985,2004 and 2011, forest resources ecological suitability evaluation score consistently above 74.54 points, and the ecological suitability evaluation for good area. Xuancheng forest resources ecological suitability evaluation scores are wandering up and down at 70 points, and overall forest resources ecological suitability evaluation is a good area. Large parts of the city are two of the geographical area in Anhui province timber forest and landscape forest region in the south of Anhui, this area is extremely rich forest resources, ecological environment condition is good. Two, Anqing and Luan forest resources ecological suitability evaluation scores are fluctuating in 60 points, including Wan-jiang Urban Belt Demonstration, Anqing city of Anhui province Yuexi, Tongcheng, Qianshan, Taihu and Luan city of Shucheng belongs to Western Dabie Mountain area of Anhui Province, Western Dabie Mountain area of Anhui Province for key forest zone in Anhui province, the city forest resources ecological suitability evaluation for middle region as a whole. In Hefei and Chuzhou ecological suitability evaluation for overall moderate regional forest resources, but in 1985,2004 and 2011,26 years during the evaluation scores are rising. Hefei suitability evaluation score of 44.32 in 1985, was 49.16 in 2004, rose to 52.75 in 2011; The forest resources ecological suitability of Chuzhou overall evaluation score of 1985,2004,50.13,52.60,48.24,2011. Both forest resources ecological suitability better trend is obvious. Tongling and Wuhu city although evaluation score is 50 points or more in 2011, the forest resources ecological suitability evaluation for overall moderate areas, but they are after 2004 to 2011 scores rise but not fall, change the bad trend. Maanshan forest resources ecological suitability evaluation scoring average of only 48.30, its suitability in 2004 and 2004 are less than 50 points, to Wan-jiang demonstration area within the city, the lowest evaluation classification belongs to the poor areas. As one of China’s top ten steel base and gateway cities, "Wan-jiang city belt" in the future economic and social development should pay more attention to green industry represented by forestry.
