As Shanghai is located in the coastal areas, its high annual average temperature, rich rainfall and high humidity provides a favorable condition for the occurrence of various vegetables diseases and pests, causing huge losses of vegetable production. For now, the main measures taken in actual production are chemical pesticides. And the massive using of single chemical pesticides, not only causes the increasing of pest resistance to pesticides, but also leads to excessive pesticide residues in vegetables, and the pollution of the environment. Therefore, how to help people comprehensively and systematically understanding various plant diseases and pests, and timely diagnosis and take appropriate control measures to reduce pesticide abuse, is the important problem to be solved in the production of vegetables.After the investigation of life history and outbreak regularity, the data of common vegetable diseases and insect pests in the Shanghai area were collected, photograghed and organized.The consulting service platform for prevention and control of vegetables diseases and pests in Shanghai Area was built by using information technology. It is hoped that these two platform would reduce pesticide residue and benefit environment. Leading to a better tomorrow for the ?Shanghai shopping basket program?This thesis includes the following major parts:1.The construction and application of consulting service platform for prevention and control of vegetables diseases in Shanghai area.(1) The database contains 203 kinds of common vegetable diseases in Shanghai, including data of the damage of the disease, symptom, pathogenesis regularity, and the prevention and control methods, etc. Over 2400 images of the disease symptoms, pathogen characteristics, etc are also included. A large percentage of vegetable diseases in Shanghai area are covered in this database.(2) This platform were built by using File Maker Pro Advanced 12. Six relationships including disease information and disease picture etc were created for flexible data call between different relational tables. Seventy seven fields were created to store the disease name, host, vulnerable parts, symptoms for data transformation. Nineteen interface layout were set up, including retrieve ways interface, vegetables category interface, etc for data classification and retrieval of results. Functions were used to realize automatic data calculation, and through more than 300 scripts and buttons, automatic actions are carried out.(3) Platform consists of three major functions, namely, retrieval query, target disease browsing, and background data management. Five query ways were set up, namely vegetables category query, pathogen query, injury organ query, symptom query, occurrence mouth query, and a quick query channel. The introduction, pathogen, host, pathogenesis regularity, prevention and treatment as well as the related video data and information online can be found quickly through the corresponding button of each target diseases. Platform data administrator refreshes data in backend interface, and ensures the scientificity and practicability of the platform service.2. The construction and application of consulting service platform for prevention and control of vegetables pests in Shanghai area.(1) The database contains 101 kinds of common vegetable pests in Shanghai. Over 1400 images of the pest characteristics were included. A large percentage of vegetable pests in Shanghai area are covered in this database.(2) The consulting service platform for prevention and control of vegetables pests in Shanghai area were construction by ASP.NET development framework, HTML language and Microsoft Visual Studio 2013.NET development tools. And Microsoft SQL Server 2012 were used as background database management.(3) Three major functions, namely query, browsing and data management were designed. Four query ways were set up, namely vegetables category query, pest groups query, harm way query, occurrence mouth query and a quick query channel. The introduction, morphological characteristics, occurrence regularity, prevention and treatment as well as the related video data can be found quickly through the corresponding button of each target pests. To ensure the integrity of the data, platform administrator can change and add pests data by landing background system.
