| Three river source regions is the cradle of the Yangtze River, the Yellow River and the Lancang River. It has the most rivers, the biggest area of alpine forest and wetland and features the highest plateau in the world。Plenty of lakes can be found in the reserve and there are many kinds of rare, wild animals and plants。 It is known as the "water tower of Asia". However, as everyone knows the reason, the ecological environment has become more and more fragile. Especially the large-scale grassland degradation and desertification make the grassland productivity and the protection of land function decline, reducing biodiversity. And most of all, Water resources conservation function of the area decreased rapidly. It also blocks the production of industry and agriculture. Even worse is the threat to the ecological security of the countries in Southeast Asia. So, it is very important to explore the cause of soil organic carbon and soil erosion caused by grassland degradation. Based on the above reasons, the study was investigating the alpine meadows of Maqin. We measured and analyzed the content of soil organic carbon, soil erosion modulus. As a result, we draw the following conclusions:1. Through comparison slope, soil organic carbon, soil erosion modulus side-by-side, we found that there is a critical slope on which the relationship between the content of soil organic carbon and the erosion modulus change.2. Analysis of the relationship between the amount of soil erosion, slope, soil organic carbon, and then make models of the relationship as follow: Z=-7742+2222x+8447y-152x2+1074xy-5035y2+17.84x2y-178.1xy2+542.5y3 (x:slope, y:soil organic carbon, z:soil erosion modulus).3. Comprehensive measure of alpine meadow’s soil erosion modulus, we get the direct economic value of soil organic carbon loss rate (yuan·km-2·a-1) ZUD=3967.134, ZLD=4030.883, ZMD=4224.931, ZHD=5706.499, ZED=56336.84. According to the relationship between erosion amount and degradation sequence analysis soil organic carbon economic benefits.
