Almost all of agricultural productions, especially in large-scale, are operated based on the geographical information or location information. Therefore, the information management of the production process is inseparable from the support of GIS. Up to date, WebGIS, with its outstanding characteristics, such as free installation, easy expansion, easy maintenance, convenient data management, client generality, has been coming the very first preference in the trend of agricultural GIS system.At present, based on the separation architecture technology between font-end and back-end, there are two major branches toward WEBGIS research, namely, front-end data visualization and back-end GIS services. However, this paper focused on the front-end data visualization technology.WebGIS visualization does not only mean simply data display, but also refer to analysis, as well as reconstruction, based on the geographic data delivered from the back-end sever, which displays the geographical data in a relatively acceptable way. Another name of WEBGIS data visualization is called client operational efficiency and effective utilization of network resource.Therefore, in this study, we start from the general Web program.In the first part, the transmission efficiency affected by different data structures was discussed. After that, various front-end data receiving methods in different network conditions was explored. Finally, several most popular Web drawing engines were demonstrated.In order to better display the geographical data, JS framework is generated based on the general Web technology, which both greatly enriches the display methods and promotes the code reusability. Two kinds of JS framework, namely jQuery and Dojo, were greatly discussed in this paper, which mean a functional programming style of a lightweight framework and a heavyweight object-oriented programming style framework, respectively.On the basis of various Web data visualization technologies in order to explore in WEBGIS, major research was focused on the ARCGIS API for JavaScript, which was generated based on the Dojo framework to throw light upon the meanings of AMD structure for WebGIS data visualization and the function of SVG and Canvas for dynamically showing different maps. Meanwhile, the AMD modular feature was explored to import the jQuery and Map World as external modules into WEBGIS, which greatly promotes visual effect.Based on the full discussion of WebGIS visualization and a case study of Tea Garden Management, ARCGIS for Sever acted as GIS Sever has been taken into practice, and therefore, the realization of visualization monitoring on tea garden environmental information, field data visualization management and farming data visualization has come true.
