The cultivation of kiwifruit has had100years history, kiwifruit is an economic crop thathighly depend on pollination. The abuse use of fruit enabling caused by insufficientpollination in production, has seriously affected the sustainable development of kiwifruitindustry and food safety. The research aimed at provide references for establish acost-effective and practical artificial pollination system of kiwifruit. Taking ‘Hayward’,‘Xuxiang’ and ‘Hred-1’ as materials, the study of the effect of anemophily, the influence ofartificial control pollination, and the pollination effect of different dilutions were carried out.The results were as follows:1.Taking ‘Hayward’ and ‘Xuxiang’ as materials to study the effect of anemophily,theresults showed that: the pollination effect of anemophily on ‘Hayward’ and ‘Xuxiang’ is veryweak. The pollination distances were5m、3m、1m、0m, the average fruit set on differentdirections of the two varieties were46.9%、49.4%、52.3%、62.6%;the average fruit weightby anemophily of ‘Hayward’ was27.87g, and ‘Xuxiang’ was only35.13g; the average fruitshape index of ‘Hayward’ was0.99, and ‘Xuxaing’ was1.05, and most of them weredeformity and small fruit. The results of the three indicators were far more below thanartificial pollination. Anemophilous as kiwifruit pollinators from the pollination effect isvery limited, and cannot meet the demand of kiwifruit commercialized.2.In order to clarify the influence of pollination on different style number to kiwifruit,the experiment of controlled pollination on ‘Hred-1’ was carried out by cutting styles, theresults showed that: reduced stigma number was0, the fruit set rate was0. When thenumber of pollinated style was less than or equal to8, the fruit set was11%~55%, and whenit was greater than11, the fruiting rate was88%~100%, which had no difference with the CK.When the number of pollinated style was2~15, with the increase in number, the fruit weightalso increased from26.37g to47.18g. When the number of styles was greater or equal to15,the fruit weight was45.88g~48.28g, which had no obvious difference with the48.89g ofartificial pollination. When the number of pollinated style was greater or equal to11, the fruitshape index was1.31~1.38, no obvious difference with the CK. With comprehensive view of these there indicators, magnitude indicator of full pollination of ‘Hred-1’ should be morethan15, which can be used in production to reduce the use of pollen and the cost.3.In order to clarify the artificial pollination, different dilutions were used to research.The results showed that:2、3、5、10、11as dilutions had significant effect to ‘Hayward’ kiwi,both fruit weight and fruit shape index had improved without the limit of different dilutionratios, and could be used as the dilutions of pollen in production. There had no verysignificant dilutions to ‘Xuxiang’ kiwi.
