The crops growth state acquired by traditional information acquisitionmethod is often lag, and to obtain a wide range of information, often required to pay agreat cost. It is meaningful for food security and agriculture sustainable developmentto accurate predict crop yield. Remote sensing information is fast, wide range of thischaracter, being able to use remote sensing image information as a source ofinformation for monitoring crop growth condition, would greatly reduce the cost of ITworkers and government departments to monitor the crop growth for their time andmoney.The system uses remote sensing monitoring technology to quickly obtain cropgrowth parameters and the nutritional status of nitrogen in real-time, can providedecision support for precise management of the crop. Combined with crop empiricalmodel and crop growth model, using GDAL library processing remote sensing imageto get brightness values of pixels of bands, the system calculates vegetation spectrumreflection rate and inverses crop growth parameters. Combined with crop empiricalmodel and crop growth model, the system is able to calculate crop growth parameters,estimated yield, and so on. Final, users can see these results, and it is convenient forusers to make decisions.By implementing the key technology of remote sensing image access, imageenhancement, image maps based on Baidu map, and remote sensing image fieldsrecognition, the system can be developed very fast. The system has the functions ofuser management, image management, image preprocessing, field recognition, indexcalculation, growth parameter monitoring, yield estimation, parameter setting. It canmeet our province demand for fast large-area crop growth monitoring and yieldestimation.The system is based on.NET platform, and developed taking a model of three-tierarchitecture. It has better scalability and maintainability, to provide a strong guaranteefor the maintenance of the system. The system user interface is implemented usingASP.NET MVC framework. It runs well in simulation environment, and accomplish itswork correctly.
