Research On Influencing Factors Of Sugarcane Farmers’ Adoption Of Sugarcane Water-Saving Irrigation

Guangxi is the most important sugar cane and sugar production bases in China, but the sugarcane production often threatened by physical water shortages, seasonal water shortage, and production is not stable. Promotion the sugarcane water-saving irrigation technology can effectively solve this problem, whether sugarcane farmers use the technology has become the key to promote the technology. This paper attempts to research the influence factors of the sugarcane water-saving irrigation technology and its influence degree, to further promote sugarcane water saving irrigation in Guangxi provide theoretical and practical references.Study summarized and analyzed earnestly the Guangxi sugar cane of water-saving irrigation technology, results and problems; Analyzed influencing sugarcane farmers used water-saving irrigation technology factors such as policy, economy, and promote in theory; Using the collected data from field surveys, choosing the head of the household characteristics, family characteristics, water resources and its price characteristics, cognitive characteristics, information channel and promotion way, government subsidies7kinds of variables, established the binary Logistic regression model to research the influence factors and influence degree on the empirical, came to the following conclusions: Factors that influenced sugarcane farmers using sugarcane water-saving irrigation technology, is sorted by positive impact degree from big small, the first is the exemplary role of others in the village, the second is sugar mill leading, etc., water cost level, government leading, easy level of technology, increase income, income from kinds of sugarcane, saving-water irrigation company leading, increase yield, level of education, family labor, satisfaction of government subsidies, whether as a village cadres, saving labor, engaged in agricultural labor force, the network media of newspapers, land area, irrigation water pricing method, the water borne object. Negative impact the biggest is the government personnel promotion, followed by gender and so on are sugar cane water resources status, age, association or cooperatives leading, total investment in the technology whether there is a risk, land blocks.According to the above research conclusions, this paper proposed the following suggestions:encourage women to participate in the water-saving irrigation technology of decision making, accelerate the cane land circulation, steadily improve the sugar cane income, accelerate the sugarcane area water conservancy infrastructure construction, improve the sugarcane area information infrastructure, improve the sugarcane farmers cognition of water-saving irrigation technology, improve the comprehensive quality of technology popularization personnel and promotion skills, the innovation of government and sugar mill as the leading way of technology popularization, make targeted subsidies policy measures.
