The sown area of corn is more and more large in China, the yield of corn stalk is also higher, which has become the first major crop stalk in recent years. Utilization of corn stalks, both for the majority of rural household, also for the whole agricultural ecosystems soil fertility, environmental security, and efficient use renewable resources, is an important factor in sustainable agricultural development. Chinese government attaches great importance to utilization of stalk, introducing a number of policies to boost the utilization. With the emphasis on stalk resources, corn stalks is also researched deeply, corn stalks is mainly composed of rind, leaves, pith, and the main composition is different, therefore, the main value of each part is also different. Rind of corn stalk can be used to make paper and plate; Nutrition of leaves and pith of corn stalk is rich, can be used as animal feed.In order to reasonable utilization of the various parts of corn stalk, and improve the utilization efficiency of corn stalk, rind-pith separation equipment for corn stalk has been used to separate rind, leaves, pith of corn stalk. But existing common feeding mechanism is not suitable for rind-pith separation equipment for corn stalk, therefore, in order to make rind-pith separation equipment for corn stalk efficiently operate, developing automatic quantitatively feeding device for corn stalk is very important.According to design principles, the feeding device and key components for corn stalk was designed experimented and analyzed, the main conclusion of the study is as follows:1) By pre-experiment and theoretical analysis, the following factors:speed n (r/min) of output roll, gear ratio limit i1of the output roll and feed roll, drive ratio i2of the output roll and conveying roll, feed inlet gap D (mm) have a great impact on the quantitative output of corn stalk.By the experiment, suitable operation parameters is recommended:when rotational speed of output roll360~420r/min, speed ratio of the output roll and the limit roll0.6to1.1, speed ratio of the conveying roll and the output roll1.07, clearance between the output roll and the limit roll45mm, the pass rate of feeding device of corn stalk is higher than98%, the overlap rate less than2%.Effect of four factors on the pass rate by importance:speed ratio of the conveying roll and the output roll, clearance between the output roll and the limit roll, rotational speed of output roll, speed ratio of the output roll and the limit roll. Effect of four factors on the overlap rate by importance: rotational speed of output roll, speed ratio of the output roll and the limit roll, clearance between the output roll and the limit roll, speed ratio of the conveying roll and the output roll. Effect of four factors on the broken rate by importance:rotational speed of output roll, speed ratio of the output roll and the limit roll, speed ratio of the conveying roll and the output roll, clearance between the output roll and the limit roll.2) Several structures of feeding device were analyzed by high-speed photography to understand the effect and role of the various components, and moving trajectory of corn stalk was drawn. The process of three structures of feeding device were analyzed and compared:for feeding device composed of tooth output roll and plate limit roll, corn stalk jump forward, which affect the output of stalk; for feeding device composed of groove output roll and tooth limit roll, the blocking effect of the limit roll is weaker, which lead to higher overlapping output; for feeding device composed of groove output roll and plate limit roll, output of corn stalk is relatively suitable, blocking effect of limit roll is more obvious. Therefore, the feeding device composed of groove output roll and plate limit roll is most suitable to quantitative output of corn stalk.3) By experiments and high Speed Photography, the quantitative feeding device for corn stalk was proved to effectively output of corn stalks quantitatively and automatically, which improve productive efficiency, save labor costs, improve reliability, lay a foundation for rind-pith-leaf separation. The experiments are done in the ideal situation, due to the complexity and diversity of corn stalks in production, output effect for corn stalks may be affected.
