The sampling investigation on macrobenthos was eondueted among the intertidaland subtidal zones in the rocky area of Dagong Island and Qingdao nearshore from2010to2013.Each marine area has several island sections for sampling according tothe actual environment. Based on the sampling data, full description and discussionabout the macrobenthos in the rocky area of Dagong Island on their biologicalcomposition, species diversity and floral composition are made. Analysis involvingthe subtidal maerobenthos on their abundance and dominant species are also made.Onthis basis, the partition of community structure is made by the results of Bray-Curtissimilarity dendrograms and MDS.The following is the main findings of this thesis:1.A survey of macrobenthos in the rocky intertidal zones of Dagong Island ofQingdao was carried out monthly from October,2010to October,2012.A total of88species of10phyla were collected,including28species of alga and60species ofmacrobenthos.According to the study, the mean biomass in wet was6576.08g/m2, aswell as the mean biomass of algae was828.41g/m2and the mean biomass ofmacrobenthos fauna was5747.67g/m2. The density of macrobenthos fauna was16764.86ind/m2. The biomass in the low tide zone was higher than that in the middletide zone and high tide zone, and the density in the high tide zone was higher than theother two zones.Mytilus galloprovincialis and Chthamalus challengeridominated thebiomass and density of the macrobenthos fauna. The analysis of flora and faunaindicated thattemperatealga and widespread macrobenthos fauna compositions weresignificantly dominant.2. An investigation on macrobenthos community structure in the subtidal zone ofDagong Island was carried from October2010to December2013.48species wererecorded; there were15species of algae and33species of macrobenthos fauna. Thecommunity structure of subtidal zone was quite different from that of intertidal zone, only33species could be found in both areas. Based on a survey from2010to2011,the mean biomass of algae was1000.76g/m2, but gradually reduced. The dominantspecies in the autumn of2010was Mytilus edulis, later the dominance index ofechinoderms was increasing. It showed that the structure of macrobenthos communitystructure in the subtidal zone had always been instable.3.Diving sampling survey during year2012to2013had collected of79speciesof macrobenthos belonging to8Phylum. Of them there were32species of algae of3Phylum and47species of macrobenthos fauna of5Phylum. Red algae had the mostspecies in algae with25species. Mollusca had the most species in macrobenthosfauna with22species. The abundance of macrobenthos of Dagong Island stayed on ahigh level, which reached its peak of2402.27ind/m2in August2013. The highestbiomass of macrobenthos fauna was in December2013in Dagong Island,1478.89g m‐2. The highest biomass of algae was in October2013in Luxun Park,737.41g m‐2. Luxun Park had the highest biodiversity and Hemicentrotuspulcherrimus was dominant among the macrobenthos in Luxun Park...
