Walnut is one of the most widely planted economic tree species in China and theplanting area reaches about1million square kilometers, which is the first in theworld. In recent years, the annual gross product of walnut is about360000tons whichproduces walnut husk about450000tons. For so many walnut husks, only a fewhusks are used for medicine, and the majority of walnut husks are discardedas waste or used for fuel, which had caused very seriously pollution to theenvironment and brought great pressure on the environment. Therefore, thisexperiment studied on the relevant application of Walnut husk Pigment.(1)Method of ultrasonic assistant extracted on walnut husk pigmentThe experiment was based on the single factor experiment. Making use of theRSM (Response Surface Methodology), this experiment studied the influence offactors as an ultrasonic time, ultrasonic temperature, liquid-solid ratio and theconcentration of alkali liquor. The results showed that the influence of ultrasonic timeand temperature were notable, in which ultrasonic temperature influenced biggest,while microware time compared secondly. The third one was the concentration ofalkali liquor and the last one was liquid-solid ratio. The paper got the best extractionconditions as follows: influenced biggest, the ultrasonic temperature60℃, ultrasonictime30min, the concentration of alkali liquor0.5mol/L and liquid-solid ratio25:1.Under this condition, the extraction rate of walnut husk pigment was34.7%,which is very close to the predicted value of the RSM theory. The prediction accuracyof the model reached96.4%, so the fitting degree is high and it is credible.(2)The study on cotton fabric dyeing technology influenced by walnut husk pigmentThrough studying on the stability of walnut husk pigment, the experiment foundthat the pigment could withstand high temperature. But with the pH value changingfrom low to high, the color of the pigment also changed from shallow to deep andmeanwhile Fe2+has a hyperchromic effect. Then by studying the influence of factorsas the dyeing method, concentration of dye liquor, dye liquor pH value, mordantconcentrations, dyeing temperature and dyeing time, the experiment found that the pre-mordant method was beneficial to dye cotton fabric. At the same time, by orthogonal experiment method, the best technology of walnut husk pigment dyeing cotton fabricwere obtained as follows:dyeing time60min, dyeing temperature60℃, concentration of dye liquor4%,mordant concentrations1.0g/L. With walnut husk pigment dyeing cotton fabric,the color of cotton fabric is natural and steady. The material is raw and veryvaluable for development.(3) The study on walnut husk pigment dyeing white hairBy using walnut husk fresh juice and walnut husk pigment to dye white hair, theexperiment found that using the mixture of walnut husk fresh juice, eclipta, schisandrachinensis, and bletilla striata to dye white hair can make the white hair become browncoffee color and it was very natural. But this method cost too much time and it cannotduplicate effectively, so it needed improving. While using walnut husk pigment, theexperiment also used pretreting agent, mordant and stain to dye. Through a largenumber of researches on the best dyeing condition of various dosages, such as pHvalue and dyeing time, the dyeing effect was greatly improved. The color of the hairdyed by walnut husk pigment was natural and had modern air and the material wasgreen. At the same time, the stain didn’t cost too much time and it can be washed for3-4times by shampoo. The operation was simple and it could work at home, so it isthe better choice for the white hair.
