Abstract/Summary:
Sebastisous marmoratus is one of the most important economical fish in China. It likesto lean against on reef. In these years, because of increasing fishing intensity, together withthe sea engineering influence, the habitat of Sebastiscus marmoratus was destroyed, and thevolume of resources reduced.People put some artificial reef to aggregate Sebastisous marmoratus to give them asuitable environment against the reduce of their resources. The artificial fish reef is a kindof fish collection facilities used in coastal aquaculture. The principle is provide a suitableenvironment of fish, protect the marine ecological system, so as to realize the sustainableutilization of marine resources and the development of marine economy. But as the scale of construction of artificial fish reef increases continuously, for longterm inhabits reefs internal biological, such as Sebastiscus marmoratus, how to gatherthem to develop when they are mature has become a new task. The study used experimentalmethod of fish behavior to research the behavior of Sebastiscus marmoratus which werestudied in the sound, and the light of two different environmental conditions, analysis theactivity of Sebastiscus marmoratus, and further through the experimental study on theeffect of sound and light on the behavior of Sebastiscus marmoratus which in the model ofartificial reef, discussed the gathering or driving effect of Sebastiscus marmoratus of soundand light in the model of artificial reef in order to provide a useful reference to the researchof control the behavior of fish in the artificial reef by using sound or light.Experimental methods are as follows.1. Acoustic taming: The research was carried out in the experimental sink which size islength4.9m, width0.8m, depth1.0m.40Sebastisous marmoratus were divided intoexperimental group and the control group. We used the square rectangular interval soundwhich frequency is150Hz to taming Sebastisous marmoratus for25days. Experimentalgroup was tamed every2hours from8pm to12am. Broadcast the sound for60seconds,then fed them for120seconds. At last we broadcasted the sound for60seconds again.Control group only fed for120seconds. We recorded the response time, aggregation time, and aggregation rate of two groups from the monitor.2. Light: The research was carried out in the experimental sink which size is length1.5m,width0.7m, depth0.8m. Based on theory of retina of Sebastisous marmoratus, weseparated into5groups by using illumination of50lx,100lx,200lx,300lx,500lx. Beforeexperiment we divided the sink into12areas, and measured each area’s illumination. Then we had experiment with10Sebastisous marmoratus from7pm to7:30pm, and recordedthe quantity of each area every5minutes.3. Model of artificial reef: Based on result above, we added5different models ofartificial reef into the sink. Then recorded the response time, aggregation time, andaggregation rate of experiment of acoustic taming, the quantity of each area of experimentof light. The results of each experiment are as follows.1. After the taming, it showed that:(1) After3rd day the Sebastisous marmoratusbecame tend to the sound.(2) Although the response time of experimental group had hugesignificant difference to control group (P <0.01), it descends fast. And it is close to controlgroup at9th day (P>0.05).It keeps in a low level from10th day to25th day, and thedifference was not significant between two groups (P>0.05).The lowest level is2secondsat17th day.(3) The aggregation time of experimental group descends obviously from2ndday to6th day. Then it descends smoothly. It was close to control group at12th day (P>0.05). And it became lower than control group from14th day. It had significant differencebetween two groups at14th day~16th day,18th day~21st day,23rd day~25th day. Thelowest level was26seconds at19th day.(4) The aggregation rate of experimental groupraised progressively. And it’s highest level was86.7%at20th day. The aggregation rate ofcontrol group is irregular, and it is significant difference to experimental group (P<0.05).2. The light experiment showed that Sebastisous marmoratus like weak illumination oflight. It specifically showed that:(1) Sebastisous marmoratus have strong tendency of lightwhich illumination is about50lx. The aggregation rate of B1area was significant higherthan other areas.(2) When the illumination had been changed to100lx, the tendency ofSebastisous marmoratus reduced. The aggregation rate of B1area was significant lowerthan that in50lx.(3) When the illumination was above200lx, Sebastisous marmoratusbecame avoid the light. The aggregation rate of the areas which was away from the lightsource increased with the increasing of illumination, and became maximum at500lx.3. The research of behavior of Sebastisous marmoratus which in the model of artificialreef by using sound showed that:(1) The average response time of every group were6.3seconds,5.8seconds,5.5seconds,6.0seconds,6.6seconds, which had no significantdifference (P>0.05).(2)The average aggregation time of5groups were36.4seconds,34.8seconds,30.6seconds,29.7seconds,36.1seconds, which had no significant difference (P>0.05).(3) The average aggregation rate in gathering area of5groups were75.0%、74.2%、78.3%、77.8%、76.7%, had no significant difference (P>0.05). But theaverage aggregation rate in artificial reef area of5groups were12.3%、10.5%、5.0%、3.3%、9.7%. It showed that C group and D group were significant lower than othergroups (P<0.05).(4) Sound for5different models of artificial reefs had significantgathering effects. 4. The research of behavior of Sebastisous marmoratus which in the model of artificialreef by using light showed that:(1) In the illumination of50lx, the average aggregationrate in the area which was near the light source of5groups were23.3%,18.6%,28.3%,30.8%,25.0%. The average aggregation rate in the artificial reef area of5groups were62.5%,60.0%,48.3%,46.7%,54.2%. The average aggregation rate in the area whichwas away the light source of5groups were12.3%,19.2%,21.7%,20.0%,17.6%. Thatmeant the light which illumination is50lx can’t significant gathering Sebastisousmarmoratus in different models of artificial reef.(2) In the illumination of500lx, theaverage aggregation rate in the area which was near the light source of5groups were7.5%,5.8%,2.5%,3.3%,8.3%. The average aggregation rate in the artificial reef area of5groups were52.1%,45.3%,41.7%,23.3%,37.5%. The average aggregation rate in thearea which was away the light source of5groups were35.0%,42.5%,55.8%,71.0%,49.2%. That meant the light which illumination is500lx can significant drive Sebastisousmarmoratus in models of artificial reef which has simple structure.
