The sulfide content of sediment was one of the most important environmentalparameters, also represent one of the important pollution indicators of water qualitydeterioration. It was the production of high-density and intensive farming destroying thefarming environment and weakened the self-pruificaion capacity of water badies.Sulfidecould stimulate and corrode the gill tissue cultivation object of shrimp, causing difficultyin breathing.Sulfide could combine with hemoglobin to producesulfur-hemoglobin,reducing the body’s capacity of oxygen-carrying and inhibiting someenzymatic reaction. H2S could also affect the most normal metabolism of aerobe andalgae, weaken the water self-purification ability.Therefor, in the process of healthyshrimp farming, sediment sulfide should be strictly controlled. This article mainly investigated the content and variation of sulfide, elementalsulfur, TS, TOC, TN, TP in sediment of Litopenaeus vannamei and Macrobrachiumrosenbergii culture ponds in Shanghai suburbs from June to October in2012. Furtheranalyzed the quantitative relationship between sulfide and TS, TOC, TN, TP.At thesame time, with the quicklime, bleaching powder, dry in the shaded soaking dealing with thesediment, measured and received the treatment effect of the various treatments onsediment sulfide and other parameters.During the Litopenaeus vannamei culture period, the rang of sulfide content in theexperiment ponds and water was0.31~5.86mg/kg and18.03~232.60mg/kg,respectively. The phenomenon was not out of gauge when compared with first classstandard of marine sediment quality(300mg/kg). The rang of elemental sulfur and TScontent in the experiment ponds was0.32~3.06mg/kg and220.00~442.00mg/kg,respectively. In the experiment ponds, sulfide of TS was0.12%~1.76%and elemental sulfur of sulfur was0.13%~1.03%. The sulfide and TS showed an increasing trend overthe farming time, higheast value appeared in September. The elemental sulfur waswaved changed, reaching the highest value in August. The final value for the initialvalue of86.9%~128.2%.The TOC in sediments was also waved changed.TN changed asa more stable wave. The trend of TP was basically outer-plane changed increase anddecreasse. There was an extremely significant(P<0.01) positive correlation betweensulfide and TS, TOC, TN.The correlation between TS and TP was significant(P<0.05)positive. Residue and settlement of shrimp metabolites were the main source of sulfideand organic matter, making the sediment of ponds increased about3.02~3.78cm.At the same time, studied the content of sulfide in sediment of Macrobrachiumrosenbergii culture ponds and relationship between sulfide and other parameters.Theresults showed that during Macrobrachium rosenbergii culture period, the sulfide andTS was waved increased, respectively. The rang of sulfide content in the experimentponds was0.30~9.34mg/kg,belonging to low leves. The phenomenon was not out ofgauge when compared with first class standard of marine sediment quality. The riversediment sulfide was substantially below this standard. TS content in the experimentponds was127.50~403.68mg/kg,of which0.2%to3.3%for the sulfide. TS content inthe river sediment was375.00~2755.00mg/kg,sulfide accounting for0.7%~19.2%.TOC in sediment raised first, and then decreased. TN changed as a more stablewave. The trend of TP was reduced, showing a lack of phosphorus.Sediment sulfiderespectively with TS,TOC(except the T3pond) had significant linear positive correlation.Residue was the main component of the organic matter. So,the key to control sedimentsulfide was to maintain rich oxygen, reduce the residual amount of bait and completedredging. This paper also studied the effects of quicklime, bleaching powder, dry in theshade and soaking on the sediment sulfide and other parameters through indoorsimulation experiment, object as the Litopenaeus vannamei sediment. Results asfollowed: under the condition of experimental design, the treatment with0.225kg/m2quicklime could decreased the sulfide, TS, TN, TP in sediment reduced by76.9%,11.3%,13.3%,50.1%,better than other treatment. Comprehensive comparisonfrom other parameters,0.225kg/m2quicklime+soaking for sediment parameters wasthe best treatment, especially for sediment2(black semelly pollution sediment), the sulfide, TS, TN, TP in sediment reduced by88.6%,36.8%,54.0%,50.8%.Therefore,during the hugh pond period, the sediment treatment can use quicklime+soaking.During the shrimp culture period, the sediment content and evolutioncharacteristics of sulfide,TN and TOC could be used to study the balance of paymentsand cycle reasearch on sulfur, nitrogen, carbon and other elements,so that could providethe basis management of ecological environment. Substrate processing method and theresults can provide practice in order to further improve the effect of substrate processingbasis.
