Due to the very similar with the earth, Mars has become a hot spot in deep space exploration. Compared with the earth satellite, Mars is very far away from the earth,which makes a high demand for the autonomous navigation of the Mars probe, thereby reducing the cost of intervention time.The Mars probe is costly and spends a lot of manpower and material resources.Improving the accuracy and reducing the fault of Mars probe have become inevitable requirement. However it is not realistic and expensive for the probe attitude sensor to shoot actual starry sky. It is also very difficult to achieve real-time and dynamic property.Thus Mars target simulation becomes a solution.According to the ground simulation test of Mars probe, this paper designs a set of Mars target simulation system, which can realize the simulation of the Mars target. The basic theories of deep space exploration are introduced, the scheme design is carried out,and the hardware design is selected according to the scheme design, the hardware platform of the Mars target simulation is built. The simulation method is designed,including the simulation of the Mars and the background of the Mars.The verification method for the simulation of Mars target is described and analyzed.With Mars as the core of verification, optic axis angle verification method and the verification method based on star angular distance are introduced, the two methods are both based on the angle parameter. The verification method based on the attitude of the Mars probe is introduced, including dual vector attitude determination method and multi-vector attitude determination method, and the corresponding analyses are given.Microsoft Visual C++ is used to develop the software of Mars target simulation system. The software adopts modular design concept, including communication module,parameter configuration module, Mars background simulation module, Mars target simulation module, two channel signal split screen design module and so on. Edge detection software is designed through MATLAB and used to recognize the target shot by the camera, the experiment results are given, and reasonable analyses are made. In this paper, the design method is used to the Mars target simulation, and the method is proved to be effective, thus can make it to promote. It can be applied to the ground simulation of other large planet probe, which has a certain practical value.
