With the rapid development of China’s national economy,the people’s living standards had improved,and the demands of railway transportation are also increasing. Jinan-Qingdao passenger transport channel is a transcontinental east-west traffic artery in Shandong domestic. It bears a lot of the province and outside the province passenger transport tasks. With the positioning and development of the Shandong Peninsula blue-yellow Economic Zone,the demands of transport will soon pass the passenger transport capacity of Jinan-Qingdao railway. So there is no time to research the promotion of Jinan-Qingdao railway passenger line transport capacity. This paper analyzed the operation situation,predicted the number of passengers in the future. In addition,Qingdao railway north station and Qingdao-Rongcheng railway need higher traffic capacity. The traffic capacity promotion mainly in division of work between Jinan-Qingdao railway and Jinan-Qingdao railway passenger dedicated line, optimization of railway operation chart and railway equipment modification. The main contents are the followings:(1) Analyze the status of Jinan-Qingdao railway passenger dedicated line traffic capacity. Limited by the number of arrival-departure lines,in addition to Zibo and Weifang passenger station, the other stations are all one station one arrival-departure line,two stations sandwiched four lines. As a result,the ordinary passenger train and EMU are often interact each other when they are meeting at the Intermediate stations or when they are avoiding the other. So it influences the railway traffic capacity.(2) Research the traffic capacity of Jinan-Qingdao railway passenger line. Jinan-Qingdao railway passenger line capacity factors are both transport organization and fixed equipment. There are some transport organization factors such as train track interval, train speed difference between different grades, High-speed trains stop program, ratio between the different speed trains and track proportion, train operating time and dormer time, and so on. Then, some fixed equipment capacity factors are also influencing the Jinan-Qingdao railway passenger line capacity. Like the station spacing, the number of station hair line, extended route, traction power supply capacity, and so on. Analyze the calculation method of existing capacity and railway passenger line capacity. Calculate the Jinan-Qingdao railway passenger line capacity, and find the key to improve the capacity simultaneously.(3) Analysis of the division of work in Jinan-Qingdao railway channel. The trains diverted to Jinan-Qingdao railway from Jinan-Qingdao railway passenger dedicated line are limited at styles,they are must be ordinary speed trains. At the same time,we should try our best to ensure the level of freight transport service. We must consider not only the current traffic capacity but also the long-term development. Ensure the overall effectiveness of the Jinan-Qingdao railway transportation channel. Analyze the capacity and fixed equipment weaknesses of both Qingdao hub and Jinan hub. As for Jinan train station sending and receiving ability is limited, we formulate the station division scheme of Jinan hub.(4) Formulate the expansion and reconstructions. The expansion measures in terms of transport organization are adjust the tracking interval division, put some normal speed trains to Jinan-Qingdao railway, reduce the gap of high speed trains and normal speed trains, increase the number of stations and main lines at some part of the sections, and so on. The expansion measures in terms of railway power supply system are the transformation of traction substation at the west of Weifang station, the transformation of traction substation at the north of Qingzhou station, the reinforcement of Jinan opening and closing power station, replacement of the contact lines at some sections, and so on. In order to put some normal speed trains to Jinan-Qingdao railway, it is must to transform the railway platforms, railway lines and passenger channels of both Zibo railway station and Weifang railway station.(5) Calculation of traffic capacity after transformed. It includes the calculation of parallel operation diagram capacity, the ranging analysis of low-grade train deduction coefficient, the analysis of EMU stops deduction to capacity. Determine the range of coefficients for each deduction, and calculate the capacity of transformed Jinan-Qingdao railway passenger line.By analyzing the entire research process of Jiaonan-Qingdao railway passenger line expansion and reconstruction, we can summary some inspires of optimizing train operation diagram.①llustrate more normal speed train operation lines between the neighboring surpassing stations.②nhance the velocity of normal speed trains, put the EMU operation lines and normal speed trains lines to groups at their appropriate sections.③dvanced trains stop at distance stations and later trains stop at near stations, so that later trains can use the empty time effectively.④lternate run lines should be balanced spread of train operation diagram drawn in each time period, and then late trains can operate at near alternate run lines. To reduce the impact of late trains to punctuality trains.
