Along with the rapid development of computer and network technology, the virtual instrument theory and technology began to be applied in engineering measurement and automation control fields, the application reduced input costs and project development time while accomplishing monitoring and control tasks. There into, virtual instrument based on LabVIEW platform occupies a large proportion. In this situation, in the teaching for electrical and electronic technology in high vocational college, the problems of expensive equipments and using cost are also apparent, which was against with the needs of personnel operating ability. In allusion to this contradiction, a kind of virtual oscilloscope is designed and developed in this paper, the design and implementation process are fully discussed, thus effectively improving the level of electrical and electronic experimental teaching curriculum,the main contents are as follows:(1) Background and technological developments. Taking preliminary research as the basis, the paper first discusses the research background and significance, the research trends at home and abroad are analyzed, and then the thesis research ideas and content are proposed, on this basis, introducing thetechnical basis for the paper including digital oscilloscope,virtual oscilloscope and LABVIEW platform, laying a theoretical foundation of the paper.(2) Virtual oscilloscope design. According to the teaching courses need, first explicating the overall structure and workflow for virtual oscilloscope, respectively, discussing the main function modules virtual oscilloscope, including signal acquisition, signal processing, analysis, and other signal operation and display module, the overall design of the system process discussed.(3) The virtual oscilloscope debugging. On the basis of the design for the virtual oscilloscope based on LABVIEW platform,while clearly the performance index, the main function modules of the system are debugged, mainly including waveform display,the vertical sensitivity and time base, data analysis and processing and other functions discussed debug procedures.(4) Virtual oscilloscope application cases. To verify the application results achieved virtual instrument, the instrument is applied to electrical and electronic course typical case, first clear the application background, after the RC circuit is responsive to the case are discussed and, finally,the application process, discusses the effect of theapplication.
