Study Of The Insurance Industry Supporting "Belt And Road" Tactics And Strategies

’One belt, one road’is an economy development tactic and strategy towards the outside world, which will provide a great opportunity for those Chinese companies. However, most ’Belt and Road’ regions and countries are developing countries and emerging economies whose country risks are huge. So Chinese companies will face great risks when they step up outbound investment in "Belt and Road" regions. Therefore, the insurance should play its due role for stable development of the external investment in’Belt and Road’ regions. Many developed countries around the world have already established a perfect insurance support system, and this paper has conducted the thorough research in the fields of the current situation and problems of Chinese insurance support system, and also combined experience of developed country to set up an insurance system serving’Belt and Road’strategies. Insurance support system contains three aspects. First of all, insurance company should vigorously support the innovation of a wide range of insurance products and insurance businesses to offer an all-round risk management services for Chinese enterprises’external investment projects. Then, speed the construction pace of overseas investment insurance system, and make bilateral trade agreement binding or valid internationally by a formal or legal act. Furthermore, insurance companies should devote insurance funds into’Belt and Road’projects and take the advantages of insurance capital and increase the relative ability.The paper firstly makes an introduction of background of’One belt, one road’strategies, and points out that the insurance industry supporting’One belt, one road’strategies is of great practical significance and theoretical significance. Then on this basis, several case studies of the insurance industry supporting Chinese companies on foreign investment explain how the existing insurance system supports foreign investment, and also analyze three different requirements when Chinese companies go global. However, there are still many problems to be solved in the existing insurance support system. In the following chapters, this paper provides considerable details on these problems and difficulties, including the lack of legal system, the limitations of insurance companies and insurance fund application, and so on.Based on the experience of the developed countries, this paper researches deeply on American export credit insurance system and the overseas investment insurance system, and the management system of insurance utilization of capital of British. And try to offer a set of advanced and excellent lessons for building a Chinese insurance support system. However, building a perfect insurance support system cannot only rely on insurance companies. Only through cooperation of government, financial institution and insurance companies, can we establish a sophisticated systems. Therefore, the article ends with some effective advice from three different perspective of entities, including government, insurance companies and Chinese export companies.
