| As the theory of financial development came out, scholars began to study the f unction of the financial development on the economic growth. But, because the unlike academic achievements has the great difference between the countries and regions w ho has dissimilar economic growth speed and financial development level, the econom ists from various countries and areas has different research conclusions. Especially our country is a typical representative of developing countries, it’s indirect financing cha nnels that the main financing channel is banking occupies the vast majority of proport ion in social financing. The structure of bank industry, that is the important indicator of financial development, has important function to the economic growth, so that mad e us pay more and deeper study on that. And the further research on the provinces a nd areas is crucial to promote the regional economic growth and coordinated develop ment.The purpose of this paper is to study the impact of the banking structure which it’s metric standard is the banking market concentration to regional economic growth which it’s represent is regional per capita GDP. Firstly, through the theoretical analysi s and current situation analysis, this paper explores the theoretical and data level of t he problem, and then puts forward that the banking structure in the western region ha s a negative impact on the regional economic growth. Then in the subsequent empiric al study through random effect model and fixed effect model of panel data analysis,data source in 2000-2014 in western region 12 provinces, city and autonomous region,thus obtains the west bank concentration degree on economic growth has a negative effect, that is to say decentralized banking structure is conducive to the promotion of regional economic growth. In a certain extent, the competitive banking system is more stable and effective for the economic growth of the twelve provinces, cities and auto nomous regions in the West. In order to solve the problem of the western banking in dustry which is too serious to be monopolized caused by asymmetric information, market barriers, product differentiation and other reasons, this paper concludes that the ba nking structure should match the local economic level, strengthen the reform of stateowned enterprises and financial system, optimize the banking institutions, rationally all ocate the financial resources, promote regional financial system regulation, so as to pr omote the optimization of the structure of the banking industry in the western region and provide an effective way to solve the problem of the rising financing demand. A nd that will rise the GDP of the western regions, make the life of people more satisf action, realize regional economic coordinated development and develop the constructio n of Chinese dream. |
