A Study Of MG Steel Company’s Internal Environmental Audit

Nowadays, with the fast development of science, technology and social economy, environmental pollution problems have become increasingly global ones and already raise the attention of the authorities and general public. Therefore, highly polluted industry has to think highly of their environmental management and internal sustainable development. Meanwhile, as internal audit is playing a more essential role in enterprises which contains more sufficient information, internal environmental audit is also supposed to give full platy to its function as a new type of internal audit and the way to supervise enterprise environmental pollution index.This thesis chooses the steel industry, one of the badly polluting industry, as exemplified to state the concept of environmental audit and enterprise internal environmental audit, and also analyze and compare the current situation of enterprise internal environmental both at home and abroad. Structured on the basis above, the thesis describes the current situation of MG steel company’s internal environmental audit, deeply analyze what issues this company have and why they happened, then put forward corresponding countermeasures.This thesis has five parts. The first part is the introduction of researching background, the significance of the research topic, the literature review and the framework of the study. The second part explains the concept of environmental audit and compares the current situation of internal environmental audit at home and abroad. The third part tells the current situation and the existing problems of MG steel company’s internal environmental audit. The forth part analyses the causes of those above problems. Finally, the fifth part puts forward countermeasures to solve the problems.Based on the MG steel company, this thesis researches and analyzes the application of internal environmental audit and figures out the issues, then proposes concrete solution plans. This thesis mainly adopts normative research technique supplemented by case studies. It is based on the basic theory and links theory with practice to analyze the difficulties when internal environmental audit was carried out in MG steel company and most badly polluted companies in China. Hope the enterprise’s internal environmental audit will be gradually emphasized by increasing governments and enterprises.
