| The urbanization promoted the development of human civilization, but this brought new urban problems, which seriously hinder the urban’s sustainable development. How to promote the sustainable development of urban and rural areas has become a hot topic. Scholars focused on the significance of the urban agriculture functions to promote the urbanization’s sustainable development. Urban agriculture serviced the development of urbanization by the production and economic function, social function, leisure and recreation function and ecological function, which became important means to promote regional sustainable development.Based on the theory of human geography, urban geography and agricultural geography, this paper took the plain region of Xi’an city as a study area and used GIS grid handling method to build spatial model of urbanization, urban agriculture production and economical function, employment function, leisure and recreational function and ecological function. Then, based on 1 km X 1 km grid scale, this paper evaluated the level of urbanization and the value of urban agriculture functions in the study area in 2000,2006 and 2012, to explore the temporal and spatial variation of urbanization and urban agriculture functions; Secondly, GWR model was constructed to explore the spatial differentiation of the impact of the urbanization to the urban agriculture functions. The purpose of this study was to provide new methods to explore the spatial differentiation of the impact of urbanization to urban agriculture functions, and to provide basement for the development and planning of urban agriculture.The spatial change characteristics of urbanization in the study area from 2000 to 2012 as follows:(1) The population urbanization level increased rapidly in the Xi’an city build-up area, suburban and build-up area of every counties, on the whole, the spatial pattern maintained a descending trend from the Xi’an city build-up area to its periphery. (2) The economic urbanization level in the Xi’an city build-up area and suburban was becoming more and more higher, gradually transformed into a core-periphery diminishing spatial pattern. (3) The spatial urbanization level developed rapidly in Xi’an city build-up area and suburban, secondly, the Gaoling county and Yanliang county also developed faster, the spatial urbanization level was declined from the suburban to the outer suburban and from the city build-up area of every counties to its periphery. (4) The comprehensive urbanization level gradually became weaken from the Xi’an city build-up area to suburban area and then to the outer suburbs, keeping a clear core-periphery diminishing structures.The urban agricultural production and economic function, employment function, leisure and recreation function and ecological function all showed a significant positive spatial autocorrelation, the spatial change progress of all kinds of functions showed as follows:(1) Urban agriculture production and economical function kept increased from the southwest and the south to the northeast, from the Xi’an city build-up area to the outside region, the level of the production and economic function kept decreased in the suburb, and kept increased in the Outer suburban; the spatial polarization trend kept increased trend. (2) The urban agriculture employment function kept diminished from southwest to northeast, and increased from the Xi’an city build-up area to its periphery, the employment function weakened from 2000 to 2006 and then increased from 2006 to 2012, and increased sharply the suburb, the spatial polarization trend changed from strong to weak and then became strong. (3) The change of the spatial pattern of the urban agriculture leisure and recreational function was relatively stable, which basically kept a gradually decreased trend from the Xi’an city build-up area to its periphery, the suburb increased rapidly, and the spatial polarization trend continually enhanced. (4) The urban agriculture ecological function remained increased from the Xi’an city build-up area to its peripheral area, the spatial polarization trend changed from strong to weak then became strong, the low-low concentrated area extended quickly in the suburb, and the high-high concentrated area expanded rapidly in the outer suburbs.The spatial differentiation of the influence of the urbanization to the urban agriculture functions from 2000 to 2012 showed as:(1) The spatial distribution of the impact of the urbanization to the urban agriculture production and economical function gradually changed into the spatial pattern that the negative effect degree increased from the Xi’an city build-up area to its periphery, and the positive effect district gradually turned to the edge of the suburb counties. (2) The impact of the urbanization to the urban agriculture employment function was negative effect in the wider area, the variation of the spatial distribution was fierce, in general, the negative effect degree increased from the northeast to the northwest in 2000, and in 2006 increased from the Xi’an city build-up areas to the southeastern and the west, decreased from the urban center to the northeast area, and in 2012 the negative correlation degree increased from the center to the periphery. (3) The impact of the urbanization to the urban agriculture leisure and recreational function was positive effect in the vast regions, and the positive effect degrees was relatively consistent. (4) The impact of the urbanization to urban agriculture ecological function mainly showed the negative effect, and the spatial differentiation of the influence wasn’t significant. |
