An Empirical Study On The Impact Of FTP Management System On The Operation Of Commercial Banks

In recent years, the FTP system has been introduced into many commercial banks of China. At present, the domestic research on FTP mainly focused on how to make favorable external conditions for the management revolution, how to establish a suitable FTP system for a specific bank, and how to make good use of FTP. However, the research on whether the FTP system has taken effects or not is still in blank.Based on the basic concept, this paper analyzes the influence of FTP on commercial banks, and contributes several new methods on the utility assessment of FTP. By theoretical and empirical study, this paper comes to following main conclusions:(1)FTP can improve the pure technical efficiency of commercial banks.(2)In most cases, the FTP system can effectively encourage the branches of commercial banks to promote the business scale.(3) To branches of commercial banks, FTP is the main factor based on which they can decide how to adjust business structure.(4) Whether FTP can promote the profit or not, is mainly depended on the rationality of FTP, and the efficiency of the bank’s capital operation department.
