An Empirical Study On The Economic Operation Efficiency Of Guangdong Industrial Enterprises Under The Background Of Inflation

Enterprise management pursues the unification of efficiency and effectiveness."Efficiency" refers to getting the most output from the least inputs, also means doing things right."Effectiveness" refers to the activities that we do help the organization reach its goals, also means doing the right things. Enterprise management strives to achieve two goals:low resource waste----high efficiency; high goal attainment----high effectiveness. For a long time, the sustainable development of the industrial enterprises in Guangdong province faces the efficiency of the dilemma----" high input, high consumption, high pollution, low output and low efficiency ". Concentrating on this efficiency dilemma, this paper focus on analyzing one of the two goals of enterprise management:efficiency, that is how to improve the efficiency of the industrial enterprises in Guangdong province under the condition of rising inflation and high cost of elements.This paper is divided into five parts:the first part is mainly about the background and purpose of the research, the significance of the research, the relevant researches both at home and abroad, the main research methods in this paper and the framework of this paper, etc.; the second part has studied the present situation.development characteristics and existing problems of the industrial enterprises in Guangdong province from a macroscopic viewpoint; the third part using the DEA method from the static angle measures and analyzes the economic efficiency of the industrial enterprises above designated size in1980-2011in Guangdong province, and then using the Malm-quist method from the dynamic angle measures and analyzes the economic efficiency of the industrial enterprises above designated size in2001-2010in Guangdong province from three angles(industry, economic type, light and heavy industry); the fourth part using VAR econometric analyzes the relationship among inflation, the cost of factors and the economic efficiency of the industrial enterprises in Guangdong province; the fifth part is mainly about the research conclusion and feasible suggestion.The study found that the average economical efficiency of the industrial enterprises in Guangdong province in1980-2011is about0.614, technological progress is the main source of the improving efficiency in the industrial enterprises in Guangdong province, what’s more, selecting the appropriate scale is still the focus problem among other problems the industrial enterprises in Guangdong province are faced with. In the first ten years of the21st century, technological progress becomes the mainspring of improving the economic efficiency of the industrial enterprises in Guangdong province, and the production of the industrial enterprises is becoming more intensive, Joint-stock industrial enterprises’economic efficiency improves very huge; what’s more, among the analyzed25industry, the average economic efficiency is about0.620, there are12industries higher than the average economic efficiency, the best performing sector of the economic efficiency is the oil and gas industry. The industrial enterprises in Guangdong province have successfully changed from light industry-center to heavy industry-center. From the VAR econometric analysis, the economic efficiency of the industrial enterprises in Guangdong province fundamentally counts on themselves. However, the price factor should not be considered lightly. Inflation has posed a threat to the improvement of the economic efficiency of the industrial enterprises in Guangdong province, we should control the inflation within the moderate scope, rely on technological progress and technological innovation to improve the economic efficiency, reduce the cost of elements, develop the right attitude towards rising labor costs and so on, which are the challenge of the industrial enterprises in Guangdong province facing in the future development.
