More than 30 years of reform and opening- up, C hina’s rapid economic development, people’s living standard has improved, however, residents’ income gap is widening. As a less developed province agriculture, although also obtained the rapid development of the economy in Yunnan province, but due to differences in natural conditions, education level and other factors, Yunnan rural residents income is low, slow growth, and the income gap is widening. Therefore, the research on the implementation of farmers’ income gap of Yunnan region economy coordinated development, border area to maintain national unity and social harmony and development has important theoretical significance and practical significance.First of all, through to the Yunnan province overall rural residents income and the gap analysis, found no matter with the national farmers’ average income level, or compared with other three provinces southwest, per capita net income of farmers in Yunnan province are larger gap. Secondly, from two aspects of regional and farmers’ income structure in Yunnan province has carried on the comparative analysis of farmers’ income gap, by comparing the regional farmers’ income gap, found that due to the geographical environment and the influence of many factors such as income structure, while the region has achieved a certain income growth for farmers, but the income gap is widening. Through the analysis of the structural disparity of farmers in Yunnan province, fo und that family business income is the main source of rural residents in Yunnan province, but the proportion of its total revenues shrinking; Salary income while the proportion of total revenue is not big, but are on the increase of total revenues, in the role of widening income gap is more and more obvious; Property income and transfer income accounted for the proportion of total revenue is small, but the influence of non-agricultural income to gross income is more and more important. From the point of the gini coefficient, the income of farmers in Yunnan’s gini coefficient has risen from 0.24 in 2003 to 0.36 in 2012. Again, by analyzing the main factors influencing the farmers’ income in Yunnan, found that farmers per capita arable land area, population urbanization rate and the influence of the time by the education of rural residents per capita income is larger. Then through analysis of time series model, found that although the income level of rural residents in Yunnan province can get improve in the future for a period of time, but the income gap is also gradually rising trend, and the gini coefficient may more than 0.4 "red line" in 2015. Finally, according to the results of the analysis, put forward by establishing reasonable fiscal revenue and expenditure system, to speed up the urbanization and rural surplus labor transfer, strengthen the fair distribution of education resources, and develop the characteristic industry such as measures to narrow the gap between Yunnan rural residents’ income.
