Impact Of EU Environmental Regulation Directive On China 's Household Appliance Export

From 2004, instead of the U.S. and the Japan, the EU has become the biggest trade partner of China. In the trend of free trade, the EU announced a lot of stricter and wider environmental regulations constantly, which had negative impact on the export of home appliances product of Chine. These regulations add more difficulties to the export and become the key factor in the export of China’s home appliances product. Therefore, it is important and helpful to deal with the EU’s environmental regulations reasonably and effectively.The paper combines theoretical analysis and empirical analysis to study the impact of the EU’s environmental regulations have on the export of China’s home appliances product.There are 5 parts in this study: the first part includes the background and meaning of the study, reviewing the research of foreign and domestic scholars and the definition of environmental regulations. The second part analyzes the reasons and the characteristics of environmental regulations and points out the theoretical basis and reality basis of them.These regulations have deep and wide influence on China’s export. The third part uses economical theoretical analysis to explain the cost control, amount control and price control of the EU’s environmental regulations and the negative impact of them. What’s more, this part also mentions the positive impact of them in long term. The fourth part analyzes the impact of EU’s environmental regulations via the gravity model, which is the core of paper. The fifth part gives the government and the enterprise targeted advice.
