Modulation identification for short-wave communication signals is the focal point in the short-wave sorting equipment, it also plays an important role in the field of Radio Signal Management and Communications Electronic Warfare, and it has been non-cooperative communications and Communicate research subjects for many years. With the rapid development of short-wave communication technology, the spatial signals are more and more complicated and dense. In order to adapt to the new changes in short-wave communication technology, there comes more demands for the research of modulation identification of communication signals, thus it enduring hot spot in recent years.The paper is written for blind identification of short-wave signals, to identify the characteristic parameters of the estimating short-wave signals and then draw its modulation. In the absence of any prior knowledge of the case, to estimate the instantaneous frequency, amplitude, phase and carrier frequency, then using a combination of spectral analysis and constellation method of hypothesis testing method based on decision theory to classify the modulation of signals. Firstly, distinguishing analog modulated signals and digital modulated signals by amplitude spectral peaks. Secondly, to use different characteristic parameters to distinguish the analog modulated signals which including AM、FM、DSE、LSB、USB、VSB, and digital modulated signals which including ASK、PSK、FSK and QAM. At last identification carrier out within the class QAM signals by constellation diagram method. The paper also studied the special short-wave signals, including to identify Frequency hopping signals and distinguish 2G-ALE signal and 3G-ALE signal. And based on short-wave sorting equipment, to verify the classification algorithm by classified the signals which collected from the AD4967 board.
