In the field of chemical, material, metallurgy, energy etc, the fluid properties database has widely applied to the above works. For one thing, the research staffs may acquire the common fluid properties data by consulting a great many literatures. For another thing, they must use complex formulas to acquire the uncommon fluid properties data by manual calculation. These have affected their working efficiency.Computer and Internet technologies have been developed rapidly in the past few years, the web technology has widely applied to the fields of industry, science, agriculture, business etc. We may develop fluid properties database system based on web by computer and Internet technologies. It effectively manage properties data and properties formulas,and improve the working efficiency of the engineers. The web technology has the feature of timeliness, cross-platform and sharing. So the fluid properties database system based on web have the advantages of easy deployment configuration and good user experience. In terms of properties data representation, it provides properties data under common temperature and pressure, and effectively calculates properties data under the other conditions by properties formulas. So the research and establishment of fluid properties database system based on web has have a great significance.This paper mainly discusses the establishment of fluid properties database system based on web by using Java, MySQL, JBoss and Dorado7. The system consists of six parts:fluid material database, fluid properties computing system, database management system, complex system chemical equilibrium calculation module, data checking system and help system. Through the analysis of the business, we completed the design of the database, and ascertained the data content, formation, unit of the fluid properties data. By writing Java code, the properties formulas are built into the system.In the research and development complex chemical equilibrium calculation module, through analysis and comparison, this paper discusses five kinds of algorithm:SA, ACO and GA. We find that they have a certain disadvantage. Ultimately, we put forward and use the artificial fish algorithm to calculate complex system chemical equilibrium. By contrast, artificial fish algorithm has merit of easy implementation, easy network application, good universality. In order to further improve the computational performance of the artificial fish algorithm, We add attenuation factor and Gauss operator into it. Finally, according to some example calculations, we demonstrate that the artificial fish algorithm has high reliability.Through the design and study for fluid material database, fluid properties computing system, complex system chemical equilibrium calculation module etc, we have completed the structure study for fluid properties database system based on web and some functions. It lays a solid foundation for the future expansion of the fluid properties database system.
