With the development of the information processing technology and artificial intelligence technology, researchers have been pay attention to face recognition technology.Comparing with traditional recognition technology, face recognition could acquire face pictures easily, non-contacting, stability, and security.And this technology has been widely recognized buy the community.This paper introduces the research background and identity recognition application significance, the present situation of the development of face detection and recognition.At the same time, the paper introduces research status and the problem of identifying cards.Firstly, this paper introduces the background and values of the identity recognition and the present situation of the development of face detection and recognition in the world. At the same time, this paper introduces problem of identity recognition.Secondly, because the system requirements highly accuracy and timeliness, so AdaBoost algorithm is used in the proposed identity card face detection and recognition system in the paper.Thirdly, because of the sampling variables of the identification is according to the light, so high degree of robustness is needed. According to the second-texture feature extraction algorithm has the feature,so this is used in the system. At the same time, CS-LDP algorithm could extracts a richer texture feature, so this algorithm is also used in the system.At last, this paper designs a face detection identification and recognition system based on OpenCV. And this paper designs a face database and do many tests based on the database. Reaults show that the system proposed in the paper could get a better effect.
