| With the development of the economy of our country, the amount of motor vehicles grows in a constant way which make the traffic condition of urban roads and highways worse and worse. Besides, the uncivilized driving habits of drivers can also lead to traffic accident. At present, there are a lot of cameras installed on urban roads and highways in order to monitor and assist in the management of traffic conditions. This paper, which based on the image available for the hardware condition, applied the stereo matching algorithm to restore the 3D information of vehicles and other objects, so as to enhance the camera function, facilitate the management on the traffic situation. First, the camera calibration, to determine the intrinsic and extrinsic parameters of the camera; then processing the image acquisition; finally, extracting feature points in the image, and applying the stereo matching algorithm to get the 3D information of the object in the image, which mainly is the 3D coordinates of the feature points. The algorithm provided in this paper can be transplanted to the existing camera, which provides a more comprehensive information for traffic management, which make traffic management a more accurate and effective way. |
