At present, nuclear power plants have developed to the third-generation nuclear power technology, which improves the nuclear power plant safety and reliability because of using digital instrument control and protection system. Only a few multinational companies, such as AREVA nuclear power plant, have the capacity of designing digital control systems and equipment manufacturing. Due to fast development of Chinese nuclear power industry and such large market, nearly 40 million kilowatt-level nuclear power stations will be built in the next 20 years, thus, self-development of nuclear technology is of great significance.Digital analog input module of nuclear power protection system, which is responsible for analog signals acquisition and conversion of the nuclear reactor, such as test signal, processing volume (temperature, pressure). This component provides a reliable sampling signal of nuclear I&C system, accurately reflect the operation of nuclear power system, and help reduce the effects of the accident to ensure the safe operation of nuclear power plants. On the other hand, analog input module has many similarities with other modules, the design of this module can provide some new ideas for self-development of other nuclear-level equipments.Based on reading and researching lots of relating literature, this paper summarizes the trends of I&C system and the technology of safely I&C system, and illustrations the purpose and the significance of this paper.From the needs analysis of the analog input module, this article put forward the design program of the analog input component. The design of digital nuclear-level component follow the design guidelines of nuclear-level equipment, comply with the basic design concept and structure of analog protection system which is mature nuclear-level digital I&C products, it divides the analog input component into three functional parts: Condition module, Standard signal multiplier and analog input module.In order to improve its safety and reliability, a number of issues should be considered. In the specific design of condition module, standard signal multiplier and analog input module, in addition to achieve its basic functions, the design also focus on the design of safety and reliability.At last, some simulations and tests are given for analog input component, the results show the design is right.
