Two kinds of supply module were developed in terms of different monitoring quantities and installstion pattern of on-line monitoring device. One is some series of batteries and solar photovoltaic supply, the other is high voltage power transmission line inductive draw-out power supply.Some series of batteries and solar photovoltaic supply was applied to the on-line monitoring device that was installed on transmission tower. Adjustment technology based on MPPT algorithm (maximum power point tracking) was researched in terms of character of solar photovoltaic supply system in this part. Consequently, solar photovoltaic supply system charged the batteries at the rate maximum power. I developed software and hardware platform and programmed the central control software based on MPPT algorithm, this software realized the function of djustment PWM duty cycle, some series of batteries charge management and discharge management. Finally, Application of power transmission line capacity monitoring device installed in the southern power grid and northeast grid of China was analysed.High voltage power transmission line inductive draw-out power supply was applied to the on-line monitoring device that was installed on power transmission line. Current problem of inductive draw-out power . was discussed, and improved method was proposed.The special draw-out power core coils solves the problem of deep saturation and high consumption owing to large change range of power transmission line current through introducing an air-gap magnetic resistance to the draw-out coils. When the transmission line current was 1000A, the draw-out core would still be not saturation. Power module adding a suit of Li-ion battery management strategy make sure enough energy though low transmission line current. Power source signal-conditioning circuit adopts bleed-off circuit and all kinds of protection circuit which ensure power module’s stable working and protect the subsequent circuit. The valid of the design scheme was testified in the experiment.Finally, the paper reviewed the supply methods of on-line monitoring, and something still need to be improved was proposed about the future research project.
