Developing an energy-saving and water-saving closestool has a great importance of meaning to our country’s water conservation business and harmony development of our society. The closestool is a more complicated ceramics product of the sanitary wares. Most of traditional ceramic closestool makes copy of others. It is made by heating the mud after trial-producing female die again and again. So, the production period is long, the energy consumption is numerous, the input cost is high. And it is hard to attain the purpose of water-saving and energy-saving. At present, little research work about closestool has been carried out in China and the innovation isn’t strong, so this paper has performmed a study on experiment and optimization design for water drum tester of siphon jet w.c pan.Firstly, this paper has put forward a new sectional siphon jet w.c pan on the basis of thorough research on traditional ceramics and raised the extented water drum structure which can replace the closestool’s samdwich flume creatively.Secondly, this paper has used CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) technique to emulate the sprue of closestools which have been assembled with different extented water drum structures. Through analysis and contrast, it has proved that the extented water drum structure has four roles which are buffering and accumulating energy, storing air, regulating fluid and supplying siphonage. These four roles lead to the increase of closestool’s working performance. In order to confirm the conclusion obtainned by emulation, two sets of tester with different water drum structure have been designed. It has gotten some conclusions which are‘the tank water should be in keeping with siphonage’,‘siphonage duration be regulated by the extented water drum structure’,‘the water in the extented water drum more, the performance better’. It is proved that the performance can reach national standard when the water is less than 3.0 liter. It can save 50% of water compared to the 6.0 liter water conservation Jordan.Lastly, considering the important function of extented water drum structure in siphon jet w.c pan, this paper has simplified it to convergent divergent channel and done optimization design of basic parameters through numerical simulation together with artificial neural network. This method is simple and feasible and the performance of flow passage after optimization is much better.
